Exactly! I never understood why people thought 21 was good enough. We needed TO PUSH TO 20 AND WE DID IT. By the hair of our chinny chin chin It was a nail-biter, indeed. For a single, it seems to me that the milestones are Top 20, Top 10, and No 1. Here's hoping ALN hits all of those (but 10 is my realistic hope). Great spin times for Z100! They are a little bit manic/depressive aren't they?!?YES!! I don't understand them at all! And they just spun again at 2:06!! Previous 2 days? 1-2 spins each day! |

A milestone, better late than never?!  Sacramento is the first station to give GT 100 spins a week! That's 14 times a day, guys! skaschep, if GT had hit #20 maybe 2-3 weeks earlier, as it was rising, many stations would have kicked in (might have gotten it to 15-17). But with ALN right around the corner, not sure WBR would have pushed GT anymore anyway. GT has paved the way for ALN though & I expect its climb to be easier and faster. Plus, I think it is a song listeners will immediately love. That being said, there actually are stations that have kicked in, WIHT in DC and the Tampa station. There are also stations that had slowed down that picked back up, Vegas and Palm Springs. But it is too little too late. Thank you for your explanation! It's indeed hard to get everything in sync. Airplay on all the stations and streaming are so different sometimes. If everything would have been in sync here in the Netherlands GT might have made top 5 in the Top 40. Now it got stuck on #6 for 3 weeks. Although it did make to #3 in the Mega Top 50 (which I still don't really understand). GT is doing better than WWFM though and it isn't gone yet. Airplay is still good and streaming still hangs on as well. ALN hasn't been played yet I think this week, but I might not be able to see that as they won't have the song on their playlist yet that they tweet out and stuff. 538 did play WWFM today though and 6x GT. It took them over a month to play GT. Hopefully this time it will go a bit faster. |

I think I have said numerous times already that airplay here seemed to decrease but every time they keep spinning so I don't know either. GT is going to be a recurrent song here as well for sure, meaning it will get played even when it's gone from the chart. It still sounds so damn good on radio. When they will slow down the spins and move over to the next I really got no clue. For Jason Derulo it didn't go that well so I'm a bit anxious. Want to Want Me was quite the hit here reaching top 10 and Cheyenne came after that. Radio stations are still spinning Want To Want Me more than Cheyenne now even though Cheyenne has been out for quite some time as well. 538 did play it quite some in August, but it just didn't pick up with the other stations. Some of those are terrible slow with adjusting their playlist. We'll see. |

That's because Cheyenne is a departure from Derulo's normal song. Couple that with the fact that WTWM is so damn good & radio is playing the better of the 2 songs.
IMO, ALN will do fine after Ghost Town. It will not have the "Cheyenne problem."

YES!! I don't understand them at all! And they just spun again at 2:06!! Previous 2 days? 1-2 spins each day! Last time that I looked, GT was not even on the Z100 playlist and yet they've started playing it again. Also, I heard GT on my local Q102 here in Philly today and I haven't heard it there in quite awhile. It has been on the Z playlist for weeks & hasn't dropped off yet. It peaked at #13 on their playlist a few weeks ago and is now at #36. The "real" playlist is the one Mediabase generates, not the one you see on the station websites. Anyone can access the Mediabase playlists on All Access.  |
