I am just feeling this odd sort of impulse to post how much I have loved these SA concerts. Audience really does make a difference. I loved being able to watch RIR in real time....thank goodness my computer held out long enough for that as last week the logic board decided it had had enough of life in this vale of tears and headed for where ever dead computers go at the end of their life span. I soooooo cannot afford this.
I live on a pretty isolated island so I had to order online and now am anxiously awaiting delivery. Then I need to get the computer man to upload all my recovered data as my external drive died last month...kitty decided to see what happened when she booted it off the desk! ....anybody want a feisty little red persian...cheap...lol .... jk... Thank goddess for my ipad and Puffin browser or I would have gone quite bonkers.
We have our National elections in a few short weeks...after that and with a new computer I should be bending y'all's ears way out of shape but till then...yeah QAL and Carry On Adam...

Translated from Spanish by Bing Wrong translation? Queen + Adam Lambert in Cordoba: an unstoppable duo | The day lajornadaweb.com.ar/index.php/2015/09/28/queen-adam-lambert-en-cordoba-una-dupla-imparable/ …
Published: September 28, 2015 | 11:17 a.m. Queen + Adam Lambert in Córdoba: An unstoppable duo
Queen was presented last night with Adam Lambert at the Orfeo Superdome after being successful in the Rock & River. The audience sang and danced Cordoba each and every one of the songs.
Such performances are the most interesting for analysis. In this case, for many reasons. The obvious reason is the musical quality and type of absolutely international show in the middle of Cordoba City; the second is by the mixture of public as far as regards age; and the third is because since the death of Freddie Mercury was impossible to imagine a successor to its height to continue the myth Queen .
Brian May and Roger Taylor had to wait nearly two decades to find the heir. And the wait was worth it. The public who attended last night expecting to see a great band and a great singer. Those who wanted to avoid seeing something of the presentation in Buenos Aires waited surprised and I doubt anyone could get out of Orfeo with a hint of disappointment. Adam Lambert shone on stage by her vocal quality, reaching impressive record tenor comfortable and shines like the baritone range and his magnetic histrionics. Yes. Freddie Mercury is irreplaceable. But Adam Lambert do it justice.
The show began as the curtain circular bore the logo of Queen (who designed the Mercury logo itself at the beginning of the band in the 70s) and the first chords of One Vision rave made to the expectant audience. A giant screen in the form of Q framed by a set of LEDs managed to combine it with the live multimedia. A scenario as T permitieó that members of the band lucieran near public.
Between light, classical, guitar solos and drums, the show was developed smoothly. The memory and emotion climaxed when Brian May with his acoustic guitar I started to sing "Love of my life" : "If you help me, we can make a little magic" were the words in perfect Spanish guitarist said. Visibly moved he began to sing an impromptu choir sang every sentence unconditional anthem Freddie. Until, of course, thanks to the magic of technology, the same Freddie made its appearance through the big screen. The moment was inmoratalizado with the May selfies himself took from the stage.
Then came the solos: the Roger Taylor and Brian May. Both hot on the 60 executed each song with the energy of the early years. And they showed that they are not only great musicians, but good singers.
Adam Lambert finished add color, five costume changes one more colorful than the other. His lyrical school and his past musical comedy do the same. Lambert sings like lying on a cheslong I stopped in the middle of the stage. Its volume, pitch and voice do not change color and show no failure. His golden microphone and theatrical expressiveness make her stage presence is as hypnotic as nice. At 33 fits perfectly in the costume of one of the greatest singers in the history of music. And he knows it. Lambert thanked the founders let it be part of Queen and declared his unconditional love for Freddie. Unlike May spoke in Spanish and quite, Lambert only managed a friendly "hello".
Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Radio Gaga, Who wants to live forever, Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure , except all of The Show Must Go On . All the successes that were expected to hear on that amazing night, were heard. The generosity of May and Taylor let the new members of Queen demonstrate why have a place in the group. Each one wore in his impeccable. Rufus Taylor 's son Roger is "dueled" with his father in a masterful display of battery. With its look "Kurt Cobain" the young Taylor showed that what is inherited is not stealer.
Such is the generosity of the band to let Adam Lambert sang one of his own songs. "Ghost Town" is one of the hottest songs in the UK charts in its electronic version hits. With the band they were responsible for putting a touch of Rock & Roll. At that point it is that the comparison with Mercury became inevitable. Although Ghost Town is a catchy hit, far from the great compositions of Mercury surprised by the lyrics and harmonic, melodic and rhythmic innovation. No wonder Freddie is the creator of symphonic Rock.
Lights, smoke, big screen, costume changes, great sound, and talentodos and charismatic musicians of all time classics. Nothing missed that night that had that kind of magic .
The end came in the form of a double encore. May an Argentina shirt with gold print logo Queen chest, was faithful to the custom Freddie settled back in the 70. We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions were the two songs that closed the perfect night. Undoubtedly the September 27, 2015 will be a night that will keep music lovers Cordoba under lock and key in the trunk of memories. It is undeniable: a Queen + Adam Lambert nobody will be able to stop.

Regarding the high note in GT, count me in on not preferring it... I understand why Adam decided to to it, to add a rock edge to the presentation, but I also find it a little jarring. Maybe it's just that we're so accustomed to the song the way it was originally recorded? Adam used the same note (I think) in Fever during the GNT, but in that context it worked (killing the dancers, lol!). Whatever, doesn't really take away my enjoyment of the song, but it makes me worry a bit each time that he won't quite hit the note.
Love the reviews. Most are very complimentary to Adam.

I was thinking about those guys that posted a picture of themselves as Queen from bo rap and said something about the band and Adam being the worst. I think something got lost in the translation and maybe they meant they were the worst band. Referring to the picture they posted. That makes more sence then them not liking Queen and Adam Lambert.

Re that negative comment on IG. Kinda funny they spent hundreds of dollars, just to say Adam sucks lol, whos the idiots now. Now they are entitled to their opinion, but does not mean they are right, its just their point of view. It is hard for some people to suspend their disbelief when it comes to Adam fronting Queen. Now I heard from someone who saw Freddie with Queen in the 70's and 80's, and thinks Adam is better. So its just a point of view. Thing is, I don't get the translation. "..Worse than Adam Lambert.." ??
Just catching up on yesterday's thread and don't know how to bring a post over other than copy and paste. There were a few comments about the four Argentinian guys who posted a headshot pic of themselves on Instagram in Bohemian Rhapsody style with some Spanish comments that didn't translate well and sounded really negative. Thing is though, I think the idea of the pic was a parody and the negative comments were about THEMSELVES, not the band. Kind of like "Here we are, the worst line-up of Queen in history".
I really think it's a case of Google Translate = Joke Killer!

Anyone live within the "registration area" of the Worcester concert (thinking Boston would count)? I couldn't sign up for Radio Station VIP code for tickets 'cause I am too far away.
Anyone going? I am planning to if all the logistics work out.
