I met some Queen fans at the Queen Extravaganza show this summer. Of course Adam was being talked about too. So... I did some TOH promotion. One of them actually bought the album, listened to it and sent me his opinion. He loves Ghost Town (for the Dutchies here: 'waaanzinnig nummer'), but loves ALN even more. He calls it he best song on the album, great showcase for Adam's voice (10/10! Vol volume en gaaaaan!). Another of his favorites is TISI, although he hopes that the live version will be more exciting, since this is produced too smoothly for his taste. He likes Lucy too ('finally! a real guitar') and the Light. For him The Original High and Rumors are okay, but he misses the 'vocal acrobatics' on the last one, Evil in the Night is good too, but not outstanding. He doesn't really like Underground (not his thing) or TIDS (a bit boring). All in all he likes TOH quite a lot and he will keep playing it. What is interesting to me is that he mostly judges the songs on how well Adam's voice is being showcased. Another fan in the making?? And at the end he adds again, "Another Lonely Night, it's just genius!!" Oh, and by the way, another of the Queenies I met at the Queen Extravaganza just bought a ticket for the 538 performance on 10 October, because he wants to see Adam sing his own material. He's winning them over one by one!  That is very interesting to read. We all here are major fans and reviews from magazines are from the people in the business, but this is a review from someone who wants to discover Adam, who wants to listen to new music, so with a fresh ear. And then I am very happy to read that he likes ALN so much (gives me hope for the song as a single). Everyone listens to music a different way: some go for the lyrics, some for the melody and he goes for the voice. |

I was at a concert yesterday with lots of dancers in beautiful costumes and I suddenly got myself wondering if Adam, because he is into fashion so much, has ever wore a man-skirt? I googled it and found of course the Scottish kilt picture. And in the latest photoshoot with Mitsy the picture where he is brushing his teeth, it looks like he is wearing a skirt, but I think it is a trouser, bgecause in the little video where Adam talks about the rinse, he is wearing the same outfit, only with his white shirt not tucked in, and tehere you can see it is a trouser. So, does anyone know if he ever wore a Man-skirt? With the right skirt I think a man can look very fashionable and Adam can definitely pull it of.  |

See that Adam held overnight which is good. As for the poll, "on and on, can anybody take it anymore?" But it seems "poll must go on" And so must my finger action. Sigh. Hope the poll does not "want to live forever" If only we could all vote at once and get him to 60% .. I think that would be it..wishing on a star.. I vote ,you vote and he goes down... drats |

Uhhh... is that the official graphic for the event? How did "BOOBash" get passed editing? That really needs a space... Dont know if anyone else has replied, bur I'm pretty sure this is intentional: the event is a fundraiser for Breast Cancer charity. Pretty clever marketing!  |

HaHa I know what you mean.. up at 5:00 am and voting... Hope this poll ends like today ,like now..  Yeah me to. 5 tabs open vote refresh vote refresh. But we sure could use some more glamberts ,he is barely keeping the lead ,i would very much like to see his numbers going up, instead of just keeping it status Quo. We need more glamberts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I am excited about ALN. Its chorus is so upbeat and infectious. And that cover picture is stunning. I know NOTHING about top 40 radio, but this sounds like a big hit to me. The long-time fans among us sometimes feel that Adam is still fighting an unfair, uphill battle against people's negative impressions of him. They seem to perseverate on the heavy make-up, eyeliner, and OTT image which has not been present in over three years now. Why do people cling to that image and refuse to see Adam as the model-gorgeous, amazing singer and performer we see? I ran across this article about first impressions and thought it was insightful. I think Adam is still battling to overcome what, for many folks, was a negative first impression. I know someone has this quote from Leila as their end footer but would love the exact quote that I think is a bit longer.
It's the one about his being like sunshine and lighting up the room? I am doing a presentation on Magical Voice at a conference in Sedona and of course, Adam is part of the presentation so I am collecting the goodies for my slides.

We need more glamberts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Not arguing about voting. I want him to win this one, too. Just want to point out that the percentage numbers are a bit misleading. It is more encouraging to watch the actual numbers. Adam is 11,000 votes ahead. Except for Morten, Adam's votes are 5 times greater than all the rest combined. It may be hard to nudge the percentage numbers up, but, it will also be hard for Morten to make up 11,000 extra votes if Glamberts keep it up. |
