It's late at night so hopefully this subject on the board won't just go viral itself but I wanted to do a bit of stream of consciousness approach. I have a lot of posts, well for me I have a lot of posts but often that's because I'm dong things like posting over on the Shape Up thread (which reminds I need to get my butt in gear because I haven't checked in in a few weeks) or conversing on the numbers thread. But mostly I'm just here reading, usually smiling, sometimes rolling my eyes, and once in a great while glaring at the screen. Because often I really don't have anything to add to the conversation I go thru a lot of RightClick>Open in a new Tab because I really should say something and then and hour later closing out those tabs without posting anything. I read from the most recent to the older because I get to see all the threads that way and catch up on the absolute latest. But that way also makes it hard to post anything spontaneous without quoting someone else because you don't get a "Reply" button when reading that way, not even a quick reply box at the bottom of the page. I can only quote with a reply (first erasing the other person's comment if I really want a clean screen) or opening up the thread itself and then clicking on the reply button there. All of which is a lot of extra steps (it feels like whether it really is or not) so I usually wind up quoting someone and adding my two cents. And that's because I'm lazy. Yep flat out lazy. If I had to start with an empty screen, instead of quoting someone, I'd have to actually explain myself so you all would know what I was talking about before I could comment something succinct and to the point like "lol". I do try to do at least partial phrases and the occasional full sentence because I know that as a good conversationalist I really do need to do more than nod my head. And you need to know that I have absolutely no idea who it is that I'm quoting 80% of the time, I'm just going "Squirrel!" (for meaning of "Squirrel!" refer to animated movie UP where the dog loses all concentration on what he is doing at the time because, well because there is a Squirrel that needs chasing and Squirrels are always a priority. See, I'm off track already. So what was I talking about? Oh yeah. I'm just looking at the topic and throwing down my money on the table saying deal me some cards. Now when we get long pages and I'm only in at the end of the day I often wind up finding out that the table was already full, in fact even over flowing sometimes. Problem is the dealer won't give me back my money so what I wrote on the board, stays on the board (Vegas reference there. I'm getting carpal. Be right back. So we've established that I'm lazy, I just want to play, and I'm not very observant, it's only after I post and reread it a couple of hours later that I find that it was somebody like Q3 that I've dismissively disagreed with and luckily for me she can handle it. So fair warning, if you are observant and notice that it is me who makes some reply or quote that is apparently dismissive of something you've said or thought please think nothing of it. I've often found myself to be a bit of a politically correct enforcer. Well that's how I come across I think even though I'm really meaning "Can't I convince you of a different viewpoint?" After all if you are planning on voting for HeWhoCannot amed I really have no choice but to engage you in conversation and convince you of the errors in your thinking. Wait, that gets me back on the wrong side of the law again. Hmmmmmm. I'm just getting rolling here. I never type this much. This is fun. I'll probably never post it. I wonder if when my husband exclaims loudly in my hearing such things as women are terrible drivers or some such tom foolery if he really means it or if he's just gleefully waiting for my wrathful glare to be turned on him. I know it's the later, he's training our rooster to attack him on command too. I'm not sure if this example is relevant but I did say stream of consciousness so I'll leave it in. Summary - I keep telling the kid he needs to do this when he writes an essay so I guess I will too since this should be at the end of a dead thread (perks of posting close to midnight). Squirrel! I think we are all just playing in the sandbox and sometimes accidents happen (insert shameful face here) because we don't want to leave even just far enough to go over to the tree. And then the mods have to come in and do some housekeeping and then we start out fresh again. This is why I never post long things and why my comments and asides are always obscure. Did anybody follow any of that? no, no need to answer. I think, well I'm hoping, that I've got a new thread to go read. Ta da! PS. I reread it from the top and the first half isn't bad, the second borders on incoherent. Seems pretty normal

I love Adam's new video for ALN, and I can actually relate to it quite well in my real life because I spent 15 years as a (mostly) parish pastor. I still do ministry but in other forms. I know what it is like to perform marriages and blessings for couples on their special day while feeling alone in my own life. It really is a performance sometimes--not in a fake way, but I have had to do weddings after breaking up with a boyfriend, when I haven't been feeling good, when I haven't gotten along with members of the wedding party, etc. As a singer, performer and pastor, sometimes you just have to put on your happy face and get on with business. It is as much part of doing my job as knowing how to use accounting software would be for an accountant. I will say that even when I am in a bad mood or sad when I begin a wedding/performance/whatever, I am usually in a good my by the time it's done. It is true that acting happy and having others respond to you can cheer you up a lot!

I refreshed the MV so it would get more hits, and it is now flagged as being "unlisted." You can view it, but you have to have the link? What's up with that? It happens if you repeat a video a lot. Just close the tab and open a new one. Here a link. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JT_xnNh5wbE

Since it's a dead thread, I'm waving at you over the Rockies -- I'm so glad you introduced yourself at QAL Vancouver. Every time I see your name, I think "I met her!" I'm often way behind in the thread too and don't post because I realize a whole bunch of people have already said what I'm thinking. So thank you frequent posters for keeping the conversation going!
