Food, drinks and dancing with a special performance from Adam Lambert with special guests Alex Newell and Brooke Candy. Anyone who has ever seen Adam Lambert perform knows that he carries within him an unquenchable thirst to sing better, to live better, to love better, to be better. A San Diego, California native, Lambert stepped into the national spotlight in 2009 when he became a finalist on the eighth season of American Idol. After the season wrapped, Lambert released his debut album, For Your Entertainment, which has sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide. Lambert released his sophomore album, "Trespassing," in 2012. The set debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and made history as the first openly gay artist to have an album debut at No. 1. Lambert then showed off his acting chops via a multi-episode arc on Season Five of "Glee" as NYU student Elliott Gilbert. He also continued as the lead singer for Queen, playing alongside founding members Brian May and Roger Taylor and selling out venues throughout the world. On "The Original High," Lambert's third studio album, Lambert turns up the vulnerability and tones down the vocal acrobatics. His soaring range and powerful vocal strength remain, but he purposefully dials back some of the pageantry, and, in doing so, creates an enthralling intimacy with the listener. Ghost Town is #47 on Spotify Global 50!! This song is far more popular than the sales and radio charts indicate. It is some different kind of hit, but it is a hit. It really does not look like anything else on the Global 50. You are right! I can see it daily in my school - my students talk about the song, they are listening to it, humming it - this is so amazing (I didn't experience anything like that during Trespassing era.) Honestly, there has never been a song like this -- or at least not that I can find. It was never a "big" hit in the US, UK, Germany or Japan -- the big for music markets. It did have a significant, but never massive radio, presence in the US. And was #11 in Germany. And yet it has been in the 40's on the Spotify global chart for weeks and weeks. It has 80K plays and it track to break 100K in about 2 months. It is a new kind of sleeper hit.

Adam's Halloween party is going to be going on for years and years. And I think "Ghost Town" could be returning for Halloween's in the future.

If you are dreaming of Adam Lambert being part of the Frank Sinatra 100 year show -- I think the odds are 0%. He is not a GRAMMY winner. From the press release: While the press release includes..."In close partnership with the Sinatra family," that means that the licensing unit "Frank Sinatra Enterprises" has authorized this event. "Additional performers will be announced shortly." I expect they will select more GRAMMY winners. This is a "All-Star GRAMMY Concert". That means GRAMMY winners. I also think this would be off-strategy for Adam right now. WMG is still working on TOH promo and this program does not target the right audience and does not present him as a current, contemporary artist. I would be happy to be wrong but JMHO Adam being in this special makes no sense to me for the program theme or for Adam. Yes, Adam sang Jazz / Big Band Sinatra things in his high school, but for me, I don't dream and don't want Adam to sing Sinatra songs.

I bought a $30+ ticket that topped at $40 at the pre-sale and refundable SW airlines tickets. It is a pretty good seat just off the floor in the first row towards the back of the arena. It is really hard to tell what seat you are getting so I might wait and upgrade later as usually it happens that seats become available. I have the pre-sale code. If you want it, PM me. Buy a cheap ticket! Just let it go if the weather doesn't cooperate.
