Can I say I really don't like the fact that us fans couldn't buy his 2nd single anymore when it was released! We didn't have any chance to push it into the top. These iTunes positions are totally organic because of that, but ALN didn't make it into the iTunes Top 30 yet and GT dropped out today after being in it for 22 weeks so I'm a bit sad because of that.
GT dropped out mostly because there were a lot of songs that came out this week that got quite the initial sale boost. After that most dropped back, and although GT had very solid sales and was into the top 30 quite some times as well it just didn't make it into the Top 30 on the chart. But hey, it did an amazing run here and I'm very thankfull for that.
With ALN I just have to remind myself to be patient. It has risen into the top 50 this week and seems to hold that position. Now if it only could go a little higher into that top 30!

Chart update from the Netherlands!  Ghost Town:NL Top 40: #17 (from #18) (22 weeks) Mega Top 50: #16 (from #16) (23 weeks) Single Top 100: #29 (from #20) (23 weeks) iTunes Top 30: Dropped out (from #24) (22 weeks) Slam 40: Not charted anymore. (18 weeks) Global Dance Chart: Dropped out (from #39) (20 weeks) Airplay top 50: #9 (from #8) (23 weeks) Another Lonely Night:NL Top 40: #35 (from #36) (2 weeks) Mega Top 50: #50 (from #46) (3 weeks) Single Tip (pre-chart Single Top 100): #12 (from #16) (2 weeks) Slam 40: #12 (from #18) (4 weeks) Airplay top 50: Not back yet.  GT gained in Top 40 and held in the Mega Top 50. That's most likely because they are now taking into account the YouTube views of the songs. Also the airplay of GT is still very good. In the Single Top 100 he dropped hard, but this chart takes only downloads and streaming into account and there GT dropped quite heavy. ALN isn't doing as good as hoped for at the moment and that is mostly due to the low airplay. It's not even in the top 50 in airplay yet and it hasn't showed up in Spotify top 100 either. In iTunes it's hovering around #50 at the moment. The combination of these plus YouTube however still get's it charted although not very big. As the Netherlands is very early at the moment with ALN I don't believe it's a big deal, but I do hope WBR has something planned. I just listened to the chart run on Slam and that DJ said that after a few listens ALN is getting better again and he now really likes it and thinks it should be another hit. Let's hope his predictions will come true! |

Ghost Town now number 13 on Siruis Hits 1 weekend countdown. Up from 16 last week after peaking for a couple of weeks at number 12.
