mys*&@^#r , I just heard the news. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. At least you got to be with her, and I think it is wonderful that you got to see her every day. My mom will be 90 soon, but she lives very far away from me, and I only get to see her once a year. If something happened to her, I would get there too late.
Your mom will always live in your heart and will watch over you from the great beyond. My sincere sorrow for your loss, and sending light and love your way.

Mys*&@^#r, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I'm thankful that her passing was peaceful and painless.
You are a wonderful daughter! As one who has worked in long term care for many years, I just wanted you to know that I admire you so for spending every evening having dinner with your dear Mom. So many of our elderly don't have that kind of love from their families, even if they live close. I know how much your Mom must have loved those dinners, each and every one.
May all your wonderful memories of your Mom help you through this difficult and sad time.
~Peace~

Thank you for your lovely posts. My mom was 3 weeks away from being 95. She was in a nursing home, but I had dinner with her every night, unless I am out of town. Last night she was fine. Today when I went, the ambulance had just arrived and the nurse was getting ready to call me. Her breathing was very labored and she was disoriented. She passed away, in the hospital, 2 1/2 hours later. She became alert long enough to look at me and hold my hand. It was very peaceful and absolutely no pain. mys*&@^#r, so sorry to hear this news. I hope that the last moment of recognition and contact will help to comfort you.
