belle, thanks for this great post about your history. Your story reminded me of the bitterness that lingered here after the Civil War. It took many years and shared trials to bring us back together.

My condolences to momtomany! Having just lost my mother last month, I know the deep feelings of loss. I also know how much I loved reading AToppers messages to me. It warmed my heart! Hope we can do the same for you, "mom."  |

momtomany -- I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. There is no relationship so special as that of a mother and a daughter. You are such a wonderful person. Please know that you are in all of our thoughts as you deal with this sad loss.

Momtomany, terrible time to lose your mom. Loss of moms takes a lot out of a woman. RIP to her and sending comforting thoughts to you. Stay strong, have a good cry, hug your friends and family, and laugh a lot at all the wonderful and funny times you had with your mother.
