I don't usually have time to read the member news pages, so forgive me if this topic has been covered.
I am so worried about Mayumi. I've had the opportunity to be with her several times when she visited her family here in So Cal. I just checked and the last post was the one about her husband in the hospital. I have her email address, but I'm fearing very bad news. I know many East Coasters know her pretty well.
Could someone bring me up to date or point me to previous pages where the topic's been covered. Such a special family. I hope I'm worrying for nothing.

Today my son's first singles from his new album came out on itunes. The album will be released in May. He is part on an indie writing producing team called CLASSIXX. The label released two songs- Holding On, a club dance single, and Borderline, a more typical song. I am proud of him. Lynne, congratulations for your son and his new album!!!!!!! I would love to listen to /buy these songs, can you provide links? What is the name of the album, and what is his "recording" name? As a slight inconvenience for me, I have not been able to load iTunes onto my new computer, but I will find a way to get these songs. I know how proud you must be, it is so gratifying when your child is able to make their dreams come true!!! Also, it is great fun to be the mom of a creative person that can make art. KUDOS!!!!!! Aw, thanks so much! Here is a link: smarturl.it/ClassixxHoldingOnThe first song is an Indie dance track, but the second song is more regular, lol. You get two songs with the download.

Could someone bring me up to date or point me to previous pages where the topic's been covered. Such a special family. I hope I'm worrying for nothing. I just talked to Mayumi today. As you may know, her husband had a stroke on Christmas day while they were in Texas helping their son close up his residence after he moved to California. The stroke was not major, but there was naturally some damage and Rene has been in physical therapy since. They returned home a few weeks ago and Mayumi has been trying to continue to work while caring for Rene and getting him to his medical appointments. He is able to walk and take care of basic needs, but he is still a bit weak and wobbly. Like many stubborn men, Rene hated being an invalid and pushed his recovery a bit too far, trying to go back to work. He fainted and fell, hitting his face and receiving a concussion which briefly put him back in the hospital. Since then, Mayumi has taken his car keys so he cannot repeat that bravado. Meanwhile, their son has decided that California is much too far away and he needs to be closer to his parents and help out with the business. I think he arrived home today. He will be a big help in his dad's recovery and give Mayumi some much needed rest time. What with work, home care, transportation, and, now, her son coming home, Mayumi hasn't had much time for Adam or ATop. She has appreciated all the concern and love from her virtual family here. If you would like to send her an email of encouragement, PM me for the address.

Lynne, I listened to your son's music and really liked it! I want to hear the whole album when it comes out. I am still following them on twitter and they have been working so hard! I know you must be very proud!!! Aw, you are so supportive. Thanks! It is an exciting time for him. I am proud of him - and of my whole crazy gang. We are having dinner together today. Grown sons (and daughters) are the best! I wish the mother that was raising those teenagers could have looked a bit into the future, lol!

A quick update on Mayumi and her husband. Last Saturday a fall at home landed Mr. Mayumi back in the hospital in the ICU. It was not another stroke, but the fall caused bleeding between the brain and the lining surrounding it. That has resolved without the need for surgery and he is now alert and aware, but the doctors say he is not well enough to go home. He was transferred to a Rehab Facility close to home. Mayumi or her son will still be with him much of the day, but they won't have the responsibility to tell him what he has to do and what he cannot do yet (you know, stubborn men). They can be his support without having to be the "Bad guys." Mayumi is able to return to work at least part time, and work remotely the rest of the time.
It has been a lot of stress, but things are definitely looking up. Mayumi has been touched by all the encouraging and supportive messages from all of you AToppers. Thanks!
