I guess I should do an update my tests results confirmed that i have Graves Disease. Its an autoimmune disorder. My test results were so high that they immediately put me on anti-thyroid meds. The long and short of it is that i decided to do the radioactive iodine treatment which will destroy my thyroid so i will go on synthetic hormones. I did the treatment on Thursday and i have a serious case of cabin fever but tomorrow i can get outta here. They gave me a letter for the airport screeners when I go to San Diego in case I set anything off. It will take a couple of months before the treatment works but after that I can pretty much forget about this.

Fun news! Pitchfork just released an interview with my son. (Classixx). He is no Adam Lambert in an interview, but we love him and are proud. . Luckily, he doesn't want to be a pop star or a singer. Here is the link. I still don't know how to embed videos in this new place. youtu.be/azpbjywxNFI

It really is thrilling to see recognition for those we know or we are close to! The Classixx men seemed genuinely excited for the opportunity to talk and be involved in the interview process. Hey....wonderful to get recognition through others...not always having to self promote. It tells me the men are catching the attention of others!
Happy for you...bet you are tingling with excitement for them. The "pats" on the bum as they get out in the world of work.....and then to see their work reaching others in this crazy music profession is so gratifying. Congrats to them. PS. I hope my iTunes past purchase added at least a dollar to their pockets!

How odd..I hardly ever get to this thread anymore..I had a thyroid ablation years ago, Tinafea. If you ever want to chat about it, please feel to PM me! Viv

Have BAGS of FUN in San Diego, everyone who's going!
I wasn't sure where to put this, but it made me think of Adamtopia so much that I wanted to leave it somewhere. I mentioned in yesterday's news thread that my husband gave me a beautiful guitar as a birthday present, that I now need to learn how to play. Well, a friend just sent me this video, about an annual "Ladies Rock Camp" in Austin where women with no experience form a temporary band and learn to play instruments and write songs. I don't know if I can see myself doing it--I'm a bit too shy and asocial for that to feel like a natural fit for me--but it made me think of this place, and also of the kind of happiness and personal vacation Adam offers to many members here, so I thought I'd share it:
(ps--Lynne, über-congrats on all the Classixx success! How exciting! I've been listening and they sound great!)
