Awwww Momtomany. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear Zipper. It's so hard to say good-bye to our furry family members. I'm sure that Zipper has made his way to the Rainbow Bridge, and will wait there to be reunited with you someday. Watch for the rainbow that he will send you to let you know that he is okay.
I do know your pain. I've been through this too many times in my life to count. But, treasure the wonderful memories of your sweet Zipper, and know that you gave him a wonderful life. I'm sure he knows that too!
Thinking of you and sending you thoughts of comfort and peace.
((((HUGS))))

Oh my gosh I just came here to post about Nonotme's son's band (The Dodos)--saw them live for the first time tonight in Sacramento--and just on this ONE page I see that something happened to Viv's DH that I'll have to scroll back and read about, and Mom's Zipper died :"( and Dancey's Tiger...I have to work some kind of regular Atop check-in into my schedule so I can keep up with things better. Hope everyone is persevering through these upsets/losses...((hugs)) Anyhow, I really needed a pick-me-up myself this week and have been looking and looking for some live music that I could afford/would like and on Tuesday I saw that the Dodos were going to be in Sac tonight at my favorite venue for live music here (Harlow's)...almost talked myself out of it BUT SO GLAD I WENT!! Nonotme shared their first CD with me years ago, liked it and their 2nd, and now they have a 3rd--wrong--this is their 5th!? They kicked off their current tour here, and even though her (VERY handsome, charming, and talented) son said tonight was really like a rehearsal (pshaw!)THEY BLEW ME AWAY! I should know by now that (like Adam!) nearly ALL performers are even better live...but honestly, I was amazed! Their musicianship is stellar...Meric (lead singer/guitarist) is fabulous, Joe (a new addition, 2nd guitar--and oddly enough, his family is from Prairie Village a KC suburb where my son and I lived for a few years--small world!)is superb, and Logan, Nonotme's son is a freakin' GENIUS on the drums! I am not normally a drum person, but I swear, Logan's skills are way beyond just laying down the beat--he's part human drum machine, I swear he's only gonna weight 70lbs after this tour, tell him to eat CARBS, Nonotme!!--BUT his drums are like an integral part of each song. I don't even know how to describe it. So I'll stop now and just HIGHLY recommend that y'all check out their tour schedule and try to see them live if you can. Here's the link: www.songkick.com/artists/273171-dodos/calendar?page=1They were on Letterman on 9/3 (it's on Youtube) but as good as they were there, it was NOTHING compared to LIVE! (although it's cute to watch because Dave took a real liking to Logan!) :D I've always appreciated NoAngel's recommendation re the Parlotones, have seen them 3 times now and enjoyed them immensely--and just in general appreciate people's recs of music (like MOST of Adam's too!) So heads up! Catch The Dodos if you can! Now if only Classixx (Lynne's son) would come to Sac!!! There are so many moms here at Atop who have massively talented kiddos... BTW, Nonotme, Logan's drumming reminded me of the Burning Man drums, that constant drumbeat that just works it's way into your own heartbeat...has he made it there yet? So glad you and the Mr. got to go this year!
