[/img] My beautiful Simon kitty!! I called him my *cougar kitty*. He survived with diabetes for 2 years. He was such a trooper, let me test him & give him insulin twice a day. Such a gentle spirit. He was only 9 years old when he left me. This pic was about 2 months before he left for the Rainbow Bridge. Sasha is his sister. Totally different personalities. She is such a *diva* and I love her still...lol! Just wanted to share my boy with you. I cherish all my past & present furries. I'm so fortunate to have had so many in my life. They always love unconditionally. We all have so much to learn from them. ~Hugs~ to all. I'm going to end my spamming now. Hopefully, tomorrow will bring better things and I can truly enjoy all the Adam goodness, in full force. Thank you all for your patience with me. Your empathy means more than you will ever know. Much LOVE!!!!!!!!!! ~S~

Take care, glittergma maitospf Awwww maitospf, sorry to upset you. I noticed your cute doggie avi and Max's coloring reminded me of Foster. Rescues are the BEST!! Thank you so much for all the positive thoughts!! Hugs to your sweet Max!! I guess-timated Foster's age as he appeared to be about 5-6 months old when he found me. So, I've always celebrated his Bday on July 4th. He'll be home by then. For how long, that I don't know. But, I will bring him home tomorrow unless there is something else they need to do. I talked to the Vet Tech this AM and Foster is holding his own. There isn't any way that they can tell anything until they do bloodwork again, which I think they'll do tomorrow AM. I'm hoping the kidney values will drop even more by then. Then, we wait 3 days and redo the bloodwork once again. That will be next Tuesday. When I was talking to the VT, she said something about Foster watching everyone. I asked her what she meant. She said *We have him here, out front, with us*!! So, he's getting to lay out in the front of the clinic and see everyone come in and out. They just totally ROCK!!! He loves people & other animals so much. He has to be enjoying this and I so hate for him to be in a kennel. Made me feel so much better. Probably easier for them to take him outside often, also. They're really pushing the fluids, so he needs out frequently. There is also an adoption cage out front with 3 or 4 bb kitties & the mama in it. He's probably keeping an eye on them too. He really loves kitties. Thanks for the good wishs gelly14 & Spring2009. I really appreciate all the support here on Atop. It means so much to me. Ok, I'm going to be productive today and clean this house, get my laundry done & possibly clean some carpets. I need to keep busy and all of the above things really need to get done. Then, I have the next 3 days to spend with my Foster boy!! ~Hugs~ to you all!!! ILYSM!!! ps~might add a little nap to my list, too. Didn't sleep well at all.

glittergma - there is nothing that gets to me more than a sad animal story. I mean literally NOTHING. Hopefully this will turn out to be good news for you and Foster and not a "sad" story.
Wishing you both the best!

glittergma, you know I'm sending all the positive thoughts I can. I went through the whole cancer thing with my Shadow earlier this year and she pulled through. She's 11 and acting like a puppy again. Much love to you and Foster.

Just wanted to quickly say, I hope the news continues good, glittergma, and I'm thinking of Foster, too. Sounds like he's a trooper and has no intention of going anywhere, just yet. Most importantly, it sounds like he's not suffering, so that's great. Hang in there. They always surprise us. I had a kitty growing up (well, I say kitty but he was HUGE--we got him from the shelter but I'm pretty sure he was Maine Coon) who was diagnosed with feline aids when he was about 10 year old. He was soooo sick that week we thought that was it. He lived to the ripe old age of 22. Never even needed meds until the final year, for high blood pressure. So there you go. They fight through it all the time.
Hugs to you, and I'm glad your Foster will be home with you for the holiday.
