After a long long time finally something very good happened to my family! My daughter was looking for a job like forever and as I already told you in a previous post she was thinking of not mentioning on her bio all her credentials just to get a job ANYTHING. Well she received a very important call from a bank that she submitted a bio a month ago, and she was interviewed a few days ago for 3 hours along with some exams. It is one of the largest private banks in Greece and in Europe. My late husband was a bussiness loan director for Nothern Greece in the same bank and he was very respected. All executives loved him and my family ,and since my husband passed away they're trying to do something to hire her. Of course this is not easy, these people in much higher places don't care if it's someone's daughter and to tell you the truth I agree. You have to prove you're worth it. After the exams they looked at her bio again , all the studies and the foreign languages she knows and...... SHE RECEIVED THAT CALL AFTER THE INTERVIEW AND SHE'S GOT THE JOB!!!!! All those years of non stop reading payed off!!!!!! This could not have happened at a better time!! I wanted to share this with you, all of you NEVER give up things CAN CHANGE!! And I believe all the good karma I got from Atop MAJORLY helped!!!!

glittergma ! I´m late in reading this Member News thread but I just saw your story about Foster! I hope he´s doing great now! We have a young dog, only 9 months old. He´s our first dog and I am just starting to understand how much it is actually possible to love an animal. New world to me... Besides the dog we have a cat and a turtle. The cat loves our oldest daughter and doesn´t care about me that much. The dog on the other hand is kind of "my dog", he follows me where ever I go.

gelly - congratulations to your daughter. It is distressing that she had to go through a time where she felt she needed to minimize her very impressive, hard-earned qualifications. I am so happy she was actually hired based on those qualifications.
Hip Hip Hooray!
