There is something very odd about the Moscow Pride event. Nikolai Alexeyev, the most prominent gay activist in Russia and the man who has led the fight to get the legal right to hold the Moscow Pride events since 2005. "Nikolay Alexandrovich Alexeyev, also written in English as Alekseyev, Alekseev and Alexeev (Russian: Никола́й Алекса́ндрович Алексе́ев) born on December 23, 1977 in Moscow) is a Russian LGBT rights activist, lawyer and journalist. On 21 October 2010 Nikolay Alexeyev won the first ever case at the European Court of Human Rights on LGBT human rights violations in Russia. The Strasbourg-based court unanimously ruled that by banning three Moscow Prides in 2006, 2007 and 2008 Russia breached three articles of the European Convention. In January 2011 Russian Government asked the Court to refer the case for re-consideration to the Grand Chamber. On 11 April 2011 five judges panel of the European Court dismissed Russia's appeal and the verdict on illegality of Moscow Pride bans came into force the same day." From Wiki -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolay_AlexeyevI cannot find any info about why he wasn't there or any statement from him about the event and arrests. He attended a TV show where they talked about the march the night before. He felt the moderator wasn't neutral and stormed off the set during which time he injured his leg. He stayed in a safe house resting his leg.

This quote caught my eye. Way more support was given to Adam Lambert than Kris Allen, and we all see how much effort the "Idol" machine put into launching Lee DeWyze's career. Was this true in the beginning? Kris got a great song for a lead single. I remember MJ's criticizing Adam's decision to become a "celebrity". Kris was doing small gigs while Adam was "partying". Adam was networking. He did Red Carpets, Magazine photo shoots (which he said he didn't get paid for), he gave an interesting interview. Every AI tour interview Adam won the reporter over with his charm. Dozens of interviews and different information came out in each one. Kris stated how he hated all those things. He was a home body who preferred to stay home. I have nothing against Kris and am not trying to make a Kris VS. Adam war. I just feel like Adam isn't being given enough credit. Did he start with more label support or did he earn it? JMHO.. On the labels support, just like they have two different manager, they also have different labels, even though they're both with Sony. It's depend on their labels what to do with them. How to promote their artists. On this level, I would think RCA doesn't care who's the winner and who's the runner up. Bussiness is bussiness, they have to promote their own artists. on the management support, since they're manage by the same company I would think the get the same support. It would be awkward if 19M gives more support to Adam. Plus Kris gets the winner contract, so in my opinion he should get a better one. I know it's always been an accussation by some people that 19M supported Adam more than the winner. But then again even though they have the same management, Adam & Kris have different manager that handle their business. If it looks like Adam gets more support from 19M, maybe because his team's more creative than Kris' team. Maybe because the phone rings more often in Adam's management team office than Kris's ... the request of Adam is >>>>> than Kris. I remembered in season 8, I used to hang out in Adam thread in Idol site. There's a guy name NYMichael. He's in the entertainment industry. He informed us that people in the business in the country and around the world wants to know more about Adam. They've watched him every week. IMO, that's why Simon was so confident telling Adam that Sony has found their World wide star in Adam on the finale... I believe Simon would not say such thing if AI & Sony didn't get all those request or questions of Adam from around the world. They know exactly that there's a huge interest of Adam from the music busines outside the US. Just a few points of clarification.... RCA and Jive are both part of the RCA/Jive Label Group and both reported up to Barry Weiss until March 2011. The brand name on the album is almost the only difference left. There is no "winners contract" with 19M -- the management is the same. There are provisions in the Idol Finalist contract specifically for the winner, #2, #3, and so on. These are public. (The Disney sponsorship and debut record advance are part of this.) There are some promotional opportunities that the winner gets because sponsors want the Idol winner. Ford ads are an example of this. I do not know if NY Michael ever revealed his true ID but my conclusion was that he was a minor music industry exec -- maybe an A&R rep -- but I do not believe that he works/worked for Sony. Some of the things he posted do not match with things that I know first hand.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so dead!!! Oh my what great sound. Getting lost down the rabbit hole on her channel because the whole concert is there. BUT this is very interesting, did anyone else notice it. In SFW he sings "all the girls and boy" wanna know instead of "all the boys in the club" wanna know. Did I hear this correctly. (ETA: questioning myself - he does say "all the boys" normally? - need to go check) And then "woman" in WWL. Personally I DO NOT feel this is Adam selling out. If Pink can have the radio version and explicit version of song so can Adam have different versions of songs... not saying his word changes are in the explicit category but hopefully understand that I am saying changing lyrics to suit an audience is not a bad thing IMHO... When Fever came out there was so much talk about the "he" word and not selling himself out and sadly, I think that is why it got no radio play. In the future this will not be an issue - I believe - but at the time sort of wish there was a radio edit because that song just so deserved to be on radio. Perhaps Adam is realizing that he can have different lyric versions and it's OK and will help bring in new converts. Win the audience over in baby steps. Anyway, just found it interesting, that's all:-) He changed the lyrics on WWL between woman and baby during the Idol tour and GNT. He changed the lyrics to SFW on the GNT a few times. I think it has to do with his mood and his read of the audience. He has said many times that when he is on stage and performing, it is about entertaining the audience. Check out what he said about FYE being a character.

<snip>Fact is, Adam has proven to be the most successful commercial recording and touring artist from the past 3 years of Idol. RCA should invest more in him. Hey Q3 - a batch of us were talking in the "How Much Money Does Adam Make" thread about this, and were wondering if Adam had a "360 deal" and how much RCA is making off of that compared to albums/tracks if such a deal is in place. Also, what's your opinion about these deals in general? They're scavenging off of revenues that used to just belong to the artist, but they're suddenly seeming really important to the labels as the traditional sources of cash are drying up. Conversation is going on here: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=strategy&action=display&thread=42&page=2Q3 answered posted in the thread. Great info about the Idol contact payment amount posted there.

NoAngel, great start for this Sunday, as always! It has been a long and winding road for Adam and it's not over... What I loved about the Idol Finale Red Carpet, was the LACK of shocking headlines of Adam holding hands with a MAN. Just a matter of fact statement of being there with a boyfriend. That's progress when a homosexual couple is able to be in the public eye in the same way a heterosexual couple can be. It seems that without Sauli this may not have happened for Adam either? Adam needed to be secure in his relationship and have a person who could handle the invasion into their lifes. From his personal experience with the media Sauli knew a bit how it would play out, and was ok with it. In any case, this was a new experience for them both and they were ready for it, just having fun. It's getting better, in baby steps.

I think he may have been worried about his safety.
