my cynical opinion - it's the gay thing - they don't think that a sport's event goers would be receptive to Adam... I hope I am wrong... it is not the gay thing. Clay Aiken has sung the National Anthem at major holidays and sporting events. it's probably a timing thing.... ie: Adam doesn't have time and maybe doesn't have an interest honestly. I've never seen Gaga, pink, katy perry sing the national anthem.  At this point, I would rather Adam sing at festivals like Maxidrom and the one coming up in Canada. Idols sings SSB everywhere. I think some are making a living singing this song at all sorts of minor events. If he ever does sing it, I hope its for a major event. He will slay it. |

Pink could sing it if she chose to -- she certainly has the range. But many famous pop/urban/country/rock singers has sung the National Anthem -- including recently Beyonce. |

I would never want to see Katy Perry sing the national anthem and I suspect the national anthem wants nothing do to with Katy either. lol. Pink would be cool tho. I'm sure no one would ever ask Gaga because they would be afraid she would disrespect it by coming dressed in a George Washington costume made out of play doh and hair curlers. *shrug* |

I never read the whole thing before (that's one hell of a fan), but I do remember the seeing the final paragraph before. Every other top 4 finalist from Idol has been booked for 1 or more national anthems. It is an Idol tradition. if there are any. Even Justin and Blake got anthems to sing. All but Adam. |
