bocababe - you may not post much, but when you do, you hit it out of the park, bb !! ;D My favorite points: * I believe one thing that skewed perceptions may have been the amount of attention Adam received that was in some way self-generated, as opposed to label-generated or management-generated. * Adam busted his ass to network and keep his name out there. He must have been a dream client for 19 and RCA in that respect. Where his detractors saw "famewhore," they must have seen a young artist with the necessary industry savvy and drive to do whatever he could to promote himself, not just sit back and wait for promotional opportunities to be arranged for him. What made it even better was that he was so damn good at it. * RCA Ed has complimented Adam on how hard he works to come up with new goodies to share with his fans. I'm willing to bet his lobbying was absolutely instrumental in RCA's release of the remixes, the acoustic EP and the DVD/CD. * So to my mind, Adam's ability and willingness to work hard on his own behalf probably inspired RCA and 19 to work hard on his behalf, too. * (in regards to NoAngel's post) To go from negotiating the minefield that was the release of "those photos" at the start of his AI run 2 1/2 years ago to posing proudly with his boyfriend at the finale celebration for AI must have felt like a sweet, sweet victory to him. Yes, things are changing, but I truly believe that Adam is an agent, as well as a beneficiary, of that change. Bravo. ETA: Oh yeah, NoAngel......

There were vids posted of the photoshoot. They really were photographed together, so - yes - they met and I assume they had a chance to talk that day.

Is he coming to Helsinki or is he going to Stockholm ??? I think those are the most probable options as all direct flights across the Atlantic have already left Moscow today. Feeling a bit excited as I'm not that far from the Helsinki airport and in a few hours he might be just a few kilometers away. ;D Or if you get yourself to the airport, he is landing soon! ;D I think I prefer to stalk trough the computer. The plane is now landing.

I got all choked up at the end of your essay too, NoAngel. Perfect, as usual. Those pictures of Adam at the festival are so gorgeous. Talk about someone who was just born to be a star. We stan the most amazing person. (And that heart picture midway down ... LOL! Always room in the shallow end, sister! C'mon and join us.) adamazing!! So glad you're joining us!!

Vocal and performance master class for aspiring rockers (and yes, there's one in particular I'm thinking of). DED.

Have to agree with you all. I was surprised Lyndsey made that comment in her article. Aside frpm the AMAs, which I assume the label got him, most of Adam's promo in 2009 was because people wanted him. I can remember, in the fandom, we were a little miffed at all the radio gigs and Jingle Balls Kris got. So, I think Kris got more label promo than Adam got. It's just that Adam is a "Hoopla Magnet!"
