I appreciate the kind welcomes from butterfly, SophieB, adamrocks, freakydeaky and nica575. I have a question: How is the open venue for New Year's Eve heated? Or is it?  The temperature may be well below freezing. It seems to me an outdoor venue is a strange choice for Dec/Jan. Magneticresonance, Welcome! How did you choose your name? Are you a Physicist? |

Thank you for that Melliemom. That was the hardest I've laughed today. It was also the biggest WTF moment of my day. I also learned a great new word.. "Mansplain"I'll be tucking that into my vocabulary pocket for sure. .....and I was reassured in my long held knowledge that Jimmy Iovine is a fucking idiotic jackass!   |

Thanks for the info Graciejane and 3ku1 ! ETA: He mentioned 2 never before sung songs...so that leaves These Boys, Shame, TIDS, Rumors, Heavy Fire...right? I think he's sung all the others. I did not get the impression he was taking about TOH songs when he said that. He first talked about singing the songs off of TOH. the 2 songs he's never sung before was in addition to that. |

I did not get the impression he was taking about TOH songs when he said that. He first talked about singing the songs off of TOH. the 2 songs he's never sung before was in addition to that. I will forever hold on to the seemingly hopeless hope that he'll do Pick U Up live someday. |

Will have to find that one interview and listen again, I seem to recall (dangerous) that he mentioned the whole album somehow and then added the part about 2 never before sung songs, left me to think those might be from a prior album or from another source. Do you recall which interview that was? |

I could pass on that -- nothing against Alison or her current effort with Halo Circus -- just something I do not want to imagine. 1. Boring -- been there, done that. [Halo Circus sounds a lot like Alison's 2010 solo act to me.] 2. I saw her too many times during GNT. [Most people are not insane like me so that is just my problem.] 3. The buzz/press would be all about Idol -- since both Adam and Alison are from Idol. 4. From a genre standpoint, not the best opener for Adam. He is promoting a pop album -- best to tour with pop artists. Halo Circus is pop-ROCK. [Basically the music is the 2015 version of rock music.] 5. Halo Circus is not big enough to tour with Adam. At best they would be an opening, opening act -- a status where they would hve to pay to be on a tour. >> I do not thing Alison wants to tour. I believe she wants to stay in LA but I do not follow her that closely so that may be out-of-date info. I can't see it happening anyway. If Adam has an opening act(s) or co-tours, I would expect it to be with someone who has a major label contract and tour support. The only common exception to that is someone with a large following who can sell tickets. Alison fits neither. ** I will reserve my imagination for other touring mates. I'm with you! Adam wants to play Arena, Alison's not going to help him do that and... it's not going to bring new fans. We don't know that Adam wants to play arenas -- all we know if that if he was on the Demi Tour he would be playing arenas. I am not expecting Adam do do a US arena tour -- that would be a big surprise. I am hoping for nice, mid-sized venues and a lot of cities in the US and Canada. |
