Funny that the interviewer. remarked to the listening audience..Adam is coming.. don't worry ,He's walking up the steps...... Lovely interview.. but I can't help but feel a sesnse of disappointment that they asked Questions about being gay..Will Adam ever beable to just be that great singer without being labeled.. He must be so weary of this line of questioning.. I think Adam looks tired because of the larger beard and the longer hair... I want to see his gorgeous face... Adam is gay -- it is part of who he is. Interviewers usually ask questions about celebrities' personal lives, interests, families, dating, etc. He is also the first gay American mainstream pop star. He will always be the first -- and he will be asked about the experience for his entire life. Unless the "gay questions" are "mean", I think in balance they are good for Adam (makes him more interesting and differentiate him -- both of which are needed to become a big star) and his responses are good for building LGBT acceptance. Most importantly to me, Adam is proud of who he is and his pride has done immeasurable good at inspiring all kinds of people to be brave, to believe in themselves and to try one more time. I hope "they" never stop asking Adam the "gay" questions. |

Random 'hey, that's Adam!' moment today on the Waterlooplein in Amsterdam. I was browsing through clothes there in an outside stall. The seller was blasting good music (a lot of EDM), so I wasn't in a hurry to leave. Then I heard the start of the Muse version of 'Feeling Good'. I smiled, remembering Adam singing this on idol, and happily continued browsing. After a few seconds my heart and brain started tugging at me again, and I really listened to the song. It suddenly dawned on me that this was Adam himself singing!!! Such an unexpexted pleasure! After that: Ghost Town remix! Turned out he had made (or found) a playlist on soundcloud with quite a lot of Adam in it. I was sorry I didn't find anything to buy from him.  That little cloth stall sure knows how to catch your attention! The perfect playlist  |
