This is a very nice interview, i love long interviews, you can go deeper. And again in this interview it really shows how good Adam with words and with answers (no "eh", no silences). Love the "I like to milk a moment", haha, that's our Adam. Also love what he says about how he gets Freddie. |

Would love that, actually. In earlier years, I was wary, because it refreshes the idol connection in the mind of people, but a) in 2016, that will be refreshed anyhow, and after that year permanently retired, so I don't think it matters, and b) Adam has moved on in so many ways, that I don't think it is a problem for him anymore. That new mashup is fantastic. This guy has real talent, and I hope he goes and tries some songwriting/producing. Often I find remixes and mashups uninspiring, like throwing around of building blocks; this one, I have listened to on repeat for the last hour, because it is fascinating. It uses the swing that is inherent in ALN, accentuates it, and combines it with a song that has a similar vibe and message. It feels lamenting and at the same time soothing. Really uses the vocals and lyrics to create something new. And the fact that his vocals are consistently higher than hers, gives it inherently this message of being comfortable with alternate sexuality or androgyny. I really love it. I could pass on that -- nothing against Alison or her current effort with Halo Circus -- just something I do not want to imagine. 1. Boring -- been there, done that. [Halo Circus sounds a lot like Alison's 2010 solo act to me.] 2. I saw her too many times during GNT. [Most people are not insane like me so that is just my problem.] 3. The buzz/press would be all about Idol -- since both Adam and Alison are from Idol. 4. From a genre standpoint, not the best opener for Adam. He is promoting a pop album -- best to tour with pop artists. Halo Circus is pop-ROCK. [Basically the music is the 2015 version of rock music.] 5. Halo Circus is not big enough to tour with Adam. At best they would be an opening, opening act -- a status where they would hve to pay to be on a tour. >> I do not thing Alison wants to tour. I believe she wants to stay in LA but I do not follow her that closely so that may be out-of-date info. I can't see it happening anyway. If Adam has an opening act(s) or co-tours, I would expect it to be with someone who has a major label contract and tour support. The only common exception to that is someone with a large following who can sell tickets. Alison fits neither. ** I will reserve my imagination for other touring mates. |

I loved that these adult BCC reviewers showed Adam the respect he deserves. Adam responded in this forum with one of his best interviews. I am a long time lurker, a role I am very good a and comfortable with. However, I have followed Adam closely since Idol, have bought all his music, seen all of his interviews, voted in poll after poll, watched every performance online, attended two GNT shows and and one QAL so I am a Glambert by behavior if not declaration. Thank you to everyone who works on this board. And Thank you to all posters.  |
