Another musing on HAC. It is going to be a slog up into the 20's so maybe having a few songs that it hopefully can pass soon (BCD ) will give the aura of continuing to march upward which is a good thing. Hope ALN breaks into the pop chart this week and I am also hoping for good adds tomorrow and Tuesday to continue the momentum. |

I don't actually think the move up the 20s will be as bad as we thought. Beiber will pass tomorrow, but after him, no one is coming up from behind. Not expecting anymore big releases during Dec. Sara Bareilles is dropping. So I think the move up to around 25 should be pretty easy.
As far as adds go, no way of anticipating how the holiday frame of mind might affect the thinking of the PDs. "Add now before the holidays" or "Wait until after the holidays?"

Sorry for starting with this somewhat OT preamble: after a couple of years absence I peeked in on another board and I can't believe the doom and gloom atmosphere there...wow! WHY? I am looking at KWORB, reading the radio info here (Thank you, folks and especially rihannsu, for bringing it) and I see a VERY encouraging start for ALN - we are going to see #29 with only 17 days on the chart! I agree the rise to #20 will take the "normal" (= slow) HAC time especially given the unpredictability of the Holidays season but so far so good!
