So in that 16 minute interview, Adam made it sound very much like the U.S. dates were being squeezed in between the Asia/Australia TOH dates and the UK/Europe ones? Did I hear that correctly? Well, that Instagram he posted the other day showed the US in March... People here have speculated (hoped) that he might have two US/NA tour legs, he one in March and one in late summer after the QAL shows. LOL.... and I saw that tour date IG. *slaps head and wanders off in search of another cup of coffee* |

I agree! No Concert without Adam. And Queen is really taking advantage of the multiple success of QAL now by continuing having these concerts. DMG has an upper hand in here. Maybe at the beginning they paid him a bit more than his normal rates will all expenses paid. However with the success off the NA and world tours I'm pretty sure DMG went back to the table to negotiate the rates and then the SA tour. I won't be surprise if they pay him between net of expenses of 500k-1mill per show. Plus since Brian and Roger are gazillionaires it's conceivable that they're paying Adam a salary that isn't necessarily dependent on the tour net income. This has always been my thinking on the situation as well. The number in my head (and this is just in MY head) has always been a negotiated 200K per date + a cut of the merch take. By my calculations Adam is making a very well deserved 'shitload' of money. |

By my calculations Adam is making a very well deserved 'shitload' of money. I like the "shitload" estimate. :D It is as close as we will probably ever come. |

I am almost certain Adam has a guarantee + percentages -- but he is not paid by Brian and Roger but either by Queen or by the Promoter(s) directly. |
