Hi everyone. I've lurked for the last few years and was finally drawn into posting by curiosity. I remember all the posts about how popular GT was in the Netherlands so was really surprised it was 1905th - was that just 2015 or ever? I know I'm missing something - sorry for the trouble! (I hope this is readable) Hi Ella - just flipping through the songs (link above) it looks like a cumlative list over many years. "It's time! The entire seventeenth edition of the Top 2000 published and put online. On Friday, December 25th starting at 9:00 pm The Seventeenth Summit 2000. With 187 new arrivals, 15 re-entries and a new number one, John Lennon's "Imagine", this will be a Summit in 2000 to remember." list: www.nporadio2.nl/top2000Hi ella! Welcome!! And although skaschep and graciejane have already answered this I want to chip in too and say that it really is quite remarkable that Ghost Town has entered the top2000. It is a tradition in the Netherlands to vote for this list of 'the 2000 best songs you have ever heard'. It is played as a whole between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The choice of songs is normally very traditional, the top 5 rarely changes and Bohemian Rhapsody almost always wins 'best song ever'. The voting is based on a list that you can choose songs from. Most people just check some songs on that list. You can also write down your own choices, but it is difficult to get one of those 'new' songs into the list without an organized campaign. It really has to be a very popular song. On top of that, they used to have a rule that songs couldn't enter the list if they had been out for less than a year. I almost didn't include Ghost Town because of that rule. So... it really is quite something that Ghost Town is in the list at all!! Next year we might just have to start a campaign to get it higher, and to get WWFM in there as well. Because I really think it should be in there too.

Fun to hear, isn't it? It is something I associate with jazz singers and instrumentalists. Thought of you Cassie. This was a night for singers including the lovely girl's choir. Everyone on stage could sing and they were all giving and generous performers. I just loved this show. Didn't have to wait through anything tedious. It was all just a joy and Adam the icing on the cake in every way. As good as everyone else, Adam has that music in every cell of his body and you just vibrate along with him. He is magic magic magic

I will post a recap soon but in the meantime I just want to say -- this WAS THE BEST ADAM LAMBERT CONCERT I HAVE EVER ATTENDED! [b6r] I wanted to meet you and other Atopers so badly. Darn...getting parking was really a mess and our seats were different from where I thought we were going to be. But the concert as AMAZING...really AMAZING!! Adam was so happy, silly, talkative, gave shoutouts to St. Louis more than once, and the vocals were so good. Cassie you will have to tell us about some of the notes he was hitting. Day-Um ..that last note Adam hit before he left the stage. Just WOW!!!!! It is 12:00am here and my son are ggrabbingbite to eat...so late. I'll post more tomorrow.
This was the show that I'd hoped I could have gone to. I live about 5 hrs. from St. Louis and would have made the trip. But RL brought me a conflict so I couldn't go. Wow! Was this show ever great! Perfect venue, perfect crowd, perfect voice, etc. After all the angsting over the Buffalo show, I'm so glad the next one was a much better set-up for Adam. Sounded like there was a huge crowd there FOR HIM and they gave him so much love.
As for the band intro part, I prefer to think of it as an integral part of the show, like a song unto itself. I know he riffed IIHY throughout the intro, but that was the thread that pulled it together, IMO. And his improv instincts are very very good. Just ask Brian and Roger. I could listen to those I Want It ALL imrov "call and responses" between Adam and Brian all day. I think as we get to know the band better, we'll enjoy their intros more and see their personalities more. I remember the GNT intros and how well we knew the players. They got to be old friends. Can't wait for the TOH tour to start for real. Things are really coming together.

Adam and the band definitely seem to be developing a rapport. Speaking of rapport, it will be hard to top the old Adam/Brooke team. Old friends, who must have practiced on the bus between shows... Great memories!

Adam's Holiday Giving Campaign for Charity Water. It is the holiday season and deciding where or how to spend limited resources can be tough. Any amount given can make a difference in someone's life so please consider this opportunity. Rather than buying that next magazine with a picture of Adam, buy clean water for someone who has never known the taste of it. Donate to Charity: Water – Adam’s Holiday Giving Campaign Goal: $10,000 Currently at: $4,550 (as of this morning) only 15 days left until the campaign ends. Link: my.charitywater.org/lambert/1e59ad73-5540-4f64-a32c-82f533b1bb19You can also donate by making an E-Card!! For the E-cards it seems you need to have pictures available from either Facebook or Instagram. It was easier to donate direct. Send an Adam Lambert Happy Holidays E-Card to a friend and Warner Music Group would donate $0.10 per card sent to Charity:Water- createdby.co/generator/adam-lambert. Link: createdby.co/generator/adam-lambert Thanks. I just donated in honor of my own birthday today.Happy belated Birthday, Holst..How did I miss that?
