from Cassie Cassie, That is what I thought when I listened to the video of Kris and Adam, but I have absolutely no musical knowledge so it was great to read your comments. : . I was so sad to have missed you on the radio show. Will it be on Youtube soon? Please post a link again or when it shows up. Thanks. Aspen: loved your story, thanks for sharing. I went to Yoga Dance this morning wearing my Adam Fan Club shirt and the dance teacher told me to bring in some of his music and we will use it. As someone said before, they are addressing all of the envelopes by hand. I wonder how many of these Adam is sending out? Someone posted a little while ago that another round is being distributed. I am unreasonably glad to have it. I cannot still rap my mind around this. I dont get it. Looking at each address on the pc and then writing on an envelope and looking and writing, all these numbers and maybe making mistakes. Are they supposed to be organized better? I'm not talking about not having my picture yet, I'm talking in general. I mean I sent the other day 4.000 envelopes of all our clients by simply copying and pasting the addresses in small self stamped etiquettes, about 30 in a A4 page, and I did it in just a few hours. And its not like a strange program or something it's common sense. This makes no sense to me, either. I have my Christmas card list on a program that prints out labels. (My kids put it together.)

But someone would still have to type all those names and addresses into the computer. Right? Probably just as fast to hand write it. Also, you save your list of friends for your Christmas cards. There is really no reason to save these. They probably have some intern doing this. It completely makes sense to me. :-/

We ALL typed in our names/addresses for them already when we donated to Charity Water. Certainly, Charity Water would be able to give them that list in SOME electronic format - even if just a text file. Worst case, someone would have to cut/paste the info to the labels (still MUCH faster than hand writing). Best case, it is in a format that could be mail-merged and the whole list could be printed out in minutes. The ONLY reason I can think of to hand address is the somewhat old-fashioned belief that things like thank-you notes, birthday cards & christmas cards should all be hand addressed. My Grandmother (103 in 2 months!) believes this and is always a little unhappy with me for using mailing labels on my Christmas cards! I have tried to convince her that labels are better than no cards at all, or christmas cards in March so far, she still stubornly insists they should be hand written.

I still haven't received my Charity picture and now the Post Office is going on strike.
I think I will give up on it. I was in the first e-mail group so thought we would have been the first ones to receive it.
C'est la vie :D

I dunno, I write fast? For me. writing would be way faster than cut and paste. Less chance of error, actually, IMO. (I do use labels for my Christmas cards because I use the same list over and over.) With no need to save the list, I still can understand having an intern write it out.

We recently discussed Adam collaborating with another singer. This clip is a great example of why that is so not a good idea for the other singer. When you hear them side by side, trading phrases, Adam's voice just outshines Kris's. By a mile.On Angelina's program last night she spoke about how masterful it is when a performer can make you feel safe, happy and relaxed. How you don't have to worry about whether they can execute the song, hit the notes, and deliver the message. How you can trust them to sing it well and transport you. In this clip, when Kris sings I can literally feel the tension in his body and in his voice. My throat is straining with him to hit those notes. Then, when Adam starts to sing, I can feel my body just relax. His voice feels so effortless and in control. Can you hear it, too? Can you feel it? Cassie - I got to hear the first part of your radio programme last night (before dh walked in for dinner!) and you were GREAT! You sounded very at ease and I admired your fluency, since I know I'd be totally tongue-tied! I so agree with your comment about Kris and Adam...the time it struck me most forcefully was on the AI8 Finale when they started the Queen song - Kris sang first, and then Adam started to sing and I listened to that wonderful voice and my first thought was "Listen to the difference ! - how can he not win??)" And my second was a sort of "a-h-h-h" because I could feel myself relaxing and melting. thanks for reminding me about that feeling, and describing it so well !

maybe what's slowed things down isn't the hand-written envelopes, but that bb hasn't signed all the pictures yet? we all know he's had better things to do :D #rugburn
