The ONLY reason I can think of to hand address is the somewhat old-fashioned belief that things like thank-you notes, birthday cards & christmas cards should all be hand addressed. My Grandmother (103 in 2 months!) believes this and is always a little unhappy with me for using mailing labels on my Christmas cards! I have tried to convince her that labels are better than no cards at all, or christmas cards in March so far, she still stubornly insists they should be hand written. Yay for your grandmother for standing up for the "old-fashioned" standards she was brought up with...my grandmother (and my mother for that fact) always told me the same thing - thank you notes, sympathy notes, Christmas cards etc. must be hand-written and hand-adressed. (I have to admit, I now use labels and have been known to send a thank-you note by e-mail to a friend now and then!)Wonderful that your grandmother has lived so long...imagine the changes she's seen in her lifetime!!

mys*&@^#r, you're lucky you can write so fast. Typing would be much faster for someone who does it for a living though. I type 80+ words a minute and entered many a huge mailing list back in my office days. And a lot of them would only be used once. Still faster to type IMO, for a professional typist. Maybe they need to hire an older intern - you know, someone who actually took typing back in high school. We had to learn on a manual first (talk about sore fingers), but that's a whole 'nother story.
Also, for a typist, actually entering the addresses would be faster than cut and paste. I have my Christmas list on labels too. A few times I had to delete people and tried to cut and paste the other address so I would not have any blank labels. Wound up printing the thing and typing it over. Much faster and not so annoying. I agree that cut and paste has a large margin of error.

After much deep thought, I have come to the conclusion that Sauli visiting and helping Dad was a red herring because he and HE didn't realize we already knew HE was in London.
Running late, but had to share

Cassie - I so agree with your comment about Kris and Adam...the time it struck me most forcefully was on the AI8 Finale when they started the Queen song - Kris sang first, and then Adam started to sing and I listened to that wonderful voice and my first thought was "Listen to the difference ! - how can he not win??)" And my second was a sort of "a-h-h-h" because I could feel myself relaxing and melting. This reminds me of the first time I asked my daughters BF to take a look at the AI finale clip, as he and his friends have been involved in playing about with music for fun for years. When I asked him what he thought of it he said "what, other than the second guy is from a different galaxy?" Now, looking back, it was so in keeping .

Is this about Adam?
RT shoshannastone Had an amazing meeting with an artist recording their second album who is about to raise the bar I hope so (and it makes sense because she said she had a meeting with him today). It all sounds very promising and exciting. Now we need a leak of one of the demos he's been working on...

Oh sure. Now that I have some time to spend here & can stay caught up no one is posting! cassie - ITA. This is just ONE reason I do not listen to any Kradam music. Yes but... but may I disagree please?? As much as I admire Kris, the person, I dont think he's something special. I'm talking about real singers like Beyonce and Christina or Nikka...
