Is this about Adam?
RT shoshannastone Had an amazing meeting with an artist recording their second album who is about to raise the bar I hope so (and it makes sense because she said she had a meeting with him today). It all sounds very promising and exciting. Now we need a leak of one of the demos he's been working on... Are we positive she is talking about Adam? She never really mentioned his name. Oh PLEEZE let it be Adam.

I can't remember, do people vote on SYTYCD? Sasha will have an advantage if that's the case. I read (probably here) that Ru Pauls Drag race ratings were up when Raja was on there - coincidence? I think not. ;D

I love this one. Adam was trying to go "conservative" and more "rawk star" in this venue (not Tommy kiss, no staged choreography, no licking the mic) but for a moment his sexy self just got carried away and inserted pelvic thrusts. "OOOOOOOPS. Silly me. Didn't mean that. Carrying on!"

Ditto! SYTYCD 8 Top 20 spoilers: 1. Melanie Moore – Contemporary 2. Miranda Maleski – Contemporary 3. Ryan Ramirez – Contemporary 4. Jordan Casanova – Jazz 5. Sasha Mallory – Hip Hop6. Ashley Everett – Contemporary 7. Caitlyn Lawson – Ballroom 8. Iveta Lukosiute – Ballroom 9. Missy Morelli – Contemporary Jazz 10. Ricky Jaime – Contemporary I couldn't get the vid for these contestants to open.. did anyone try.. I am getting an error. Well, if I try to guess where Adam will go after London... he probably won't go there.. but, I really do hope he goes to Finland for a few days at least before returning to L.A. I can't find a video at MJ's. Where are you looking?

Or Pink! Collaborations aren't about bringing two artists together who are talented in the same ways. It's not a competition! Collabs usually have an artist who is the stronger singer matched with another artist who brings something different to the table. That's why you see Pop singers adding rap, reggae, or country artists to their songs. There is a difference between a duet and a collab that is used in hopes that the single will get played on several radio formats. (or appeal to different types of listeners) the collabs I've seen (not too many) seem to smell of MARKETING and nothing else... kind of = let's get the fans of another genre or another artist pay attention... I notice no enhancement to the performance of either one of the collab artists... So, for me - I don't want to hear anyone next to Adam , it would only take the precious time that I could be hearing his voice... I know I am a minority on this Well, you are a minority of two, then. Your thoughts echo mine. Silly me, I am used to a duet being between two equal partners, combining to make a cohesive statement. Not as a marketing strategy. Collabs, huh? Okay, different purpose. Nothing to do with music. IMHO

So, for me - I don't want to hear anyone next to Adam , it would only take the precious time that I could be hearing his voice... I know I am a minority on this I'm with you Nica! The only people I might be interested in hearing him with are not people looking to do collaborations. I can think of people who would benefit if he worked with them, but not that many where it would be a benefit for Adam. I just want to listen to his voice. I agree that collabs are about marketing, but marketing is CRUCIAL right now, unfortunately. It remains to be seen if Top 40 radio is going to snub him again this era like they did with FYE. My hunch is no, especially if the material is as good as we're hoping (praying), anticipating ... I also tend to think they will feel he's "earned" his place during next era. However, by being linked to someone who is already a radio powerhouse, especially for Top 40, (or in our case in L.A., urban markets), it will be that foot in the door to anoint him as one of their go-to artists. Until that happens, they can still turn up their noses and use Idol or "whatever" as an excuse not to play him. I'm hoping they won't, by all means, but he's trying to crack a VERY tough market for any artist, much less a gay, white male. Anything he can do to that end is worth exploring, IMO. And once they've accepted him, they've accepted him and shouldn't be a fight after that.

I want Adam to have every marketing advantage possible. Personally, I love a great, fun, unexpected collab. ETA - I don't think that Adam was "snubbed" by Top40. I think WWFM did great and IIHY did pretty well on Top40.
