I have to share here because it is too mushy to share anywhere else. First of all, I think Adam is the new mashup of Dr. Phil and Dr. Ruth, at least in my house. When I read the Sauli in London, my response was (aloud) "awwww, that is so sweet. And how romantic." I finished the pages and went up to take a shower when what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a slightly hesitant hubby with the question (and the answer is a big, resounding YES, by the way) "Do you think I'm romantic?" You could have knocked me over from the actual sincerity in his voice. I immediately answered in the affirmative, but he was not satisfied and wanted to know specifics. After naming a few, with water cascading over my face, he relaxed and smiled then told me next time his gigs took him away for more than a week, I would have an airline ticket for the weekend to wherever he is. Let me say, he is a confident mofo, loves the attention from the audience, loves to strut his stuff, but I really think Adam is rubbing off on him, figuratively speaking, and I'm loving it. I'm so much the antithesis of coy, so I never feign rejection or whine when he has to be away, it's what I signed up for, but I am loving it that he is seeing my point of view from another source. I think that "rug burn" post that he read and we laughed about started a self-evaluation on what a little imagination can do. Now I have to get off here so we can go to breakfast and bike riding, and maybe a little more discussion of WWAD, What Would Adam Do. Hmmm, it's a 30 mile bike ride so we'll see what we come up with. And remember, this is all without me having to prompt, so I'm setting up my Adam shrine in the back yard tonight. Your husband is a keeper!

but that's saying he can't do it on his own, which with the right song he totally can IMO. Yeah I have hope this time he is working with people who can help craft top 40 hits that are still uniquely *him* but also are radio ready and that will be embraced. The single fact that he worked with that Bonnie chick who was responsible for Katy Perry's GINORMOUS singles 'California Gurls' and 'Teenage Dream' just shows that homeboy is not messing around this time. He has more time to really get what he wants, and me thinks what he wants is hits. Massive hits. Here's hoping he gets what he wants! I read that not as though he couldn't do it without a collab, but that it could make it easier. Chunkey's scenario is what I'm banking on most. I think he's lined up some heavy-hitting talent and WANTS mega hits. As we've all seen, sometimes it just takes one breakthrough hit and suddenly, you can do no wrong in the eyes of radio. Anything that will help him do that initial punch through, I'm all for. ETA: LOL, also, what mys*&@^#r50 said.

(I am not sure, I tried to listen but could not take more than a few seconds...) also, wasn't some big name rapper dude collaborating with her? I remember some tall older guy on her MV - he was kinda out of place there...) I think its the same person that Adam was doing award announcements with... and Paula... he looked the same to me... Yes, but you have to understand that he needs big radio singles like that unfortunately. Just using that as an example, not a template of where he should go musically. I'm sure he will mix it with less bubble stuff but unless he has hit song material he just won't get played on radio. If that's ok with him and his label than more power to him--some artists can get by like that and be just fine--but he wants to be a pop star. And I am sure he is under extra pressure and scrutiny to make hits for a myriad of reasons. The Idol thing, the gay thing, etc etc. And I can't see the label being happy with just being a medium selling guilty pleasure cult fav kind of artist. Besides everyone's musical tastes are different. To you that may be throwaway fluff pop but to others, esp the younger generation, it's just good pop music. I am not sure about your age, but I notice a lot of people here don't like the rap thing, and once again I don't want to generalize on ages or likes or dislikes or anything, but could the reason be that you are from another generation when rap music wasn't so prevalent? I mean I will be 30 at the end of August so I grew up on rap and hip hop music. My Mom on the other hand--who is 60--hates it. LOL. So for me it's a non issue but sometimes older people don't always like it. And that's not to say that ppl my age don't dislike it either, I am just saying that for most ppl my age or younger, well, it's just a part of music we've grown up around. And he doesn't need a rapper or even someone to duet with imo, he just needs good songs. Period. He needs songs that are sooo good, so catchy, that the stations will have to play them. And not just sooo good to us the hardcore fans, but sooo good to the general public and to the PD's at radio. I'm pretty sure he won't sell himself out down the river of mindless pop...but I'm am pretty positive that in between the meaningful and more experimental songs he will strive to have some solid, everyone can jam to this hits. And keep in mind that hit songs don't have to be devoid of emotion or good lyrics! Adele anyone?

I still haven't received my Charity picture and now the Post Office is going on strike. I think I will give up on it. I was in the first e-mail group so thought we would have been the first ones to receive it. C'est la vie :D I was in the first email group as well, and I just barely received mine. I also resent my information to Jive in case I entered it incorrectly or in case they didn't have it.

Snoop Dog Yes, all Adam needs is one huge hit to get all the Top 40 stations to play him. Maybe because I am in LA, but cracking KIIS really means a lot to me. I dunno, maybe since Adam is in LA it might mean a lot to him, too. If he listens to the radio, at home, that is the station he'd be listening to. I trust his musical instincts though. If he thinks he needs a CA Gurls type song, I can support that. sooo... are you saying he needs to compromise and produce some piece of sh*t song just to get to the Top 40 stations? - That's OK, if it takes only one of those... but how will he get any cred after that? IMO he is here to stay and make music and not the crap that TOP 40 plays... (hope I am not offending anyone here... )

I am already excited for Adam's new music, so this tweet really gets me going! I wonder what demos he showed her?

I think Chunkey's post above sums it up really well.Adam wants to be a Pop star. That means being commercial. Do I think he would record and release a piece of sh*t? No, way! It's Adam F Lambert.

(hope I am not offending anyone here... ) sorry but IMO, I really don't think Adam would think of a song like California Girls or Teenage Dream as a sh*t compromise. He loves pop music even if many of you here do not. I'm always a little bit surprised by the dismissal of pop music on this board. Many seem to want an album of Soaked type songs but I really don't think that is in the cards. I agree with everything Chunkey said. Adam wants hits, POP hits, to be specific. I would be over the moon if he had anything like California Girls on his album. Q3 comment: This is not just about this comment -- it is about all the comments posted here that indicate that there is some kind of consensus here about music genres or artists.
Please be careful about making broad brush statements. This "board" has no singular opinion. Individual posters are entitled to their own opinion. Many people here like pop music, others do not. Thanks.
