I am wondering if he will ever answer the question re the absence of the infinity sign given that he has always claimed to connect that to his relationship with fans. This tattoos had a reason that was supposedly significant; deleting a signifier is tantamount to deleting the sign[ified]. His body and choice, of course, but dj's have often asked of his tattoos and that big ugly black spot stands out...eventually someone will ask him in a situation he can not sluff off. Adam talked about the infinity energy between the audience and himself when performing.. I don't remember him ever saying his tattoo represented a bond between him and his fans.. I put his explanatiion on Adamtopia a while back.Now where did i put that... Hmmm Yes, but that is what he said the infinity tattoo stood for, the energy between him and his audience (technically, that would be his fans.) I am Adam's bitch, he can do anything he wants & I find no fault. But speaking, personally, I am not quite sure how a black blob is better than the tattoo! LOL!  |

He said it represented the energy flow between the audience and him, etc. I think the fans took it to symbolize the relationship/bond. Don't think he ever mentioned anything beyond the energy exchange with the audience. ETA: I see Melliemom found the interview while I was typing It seems to me like a kid taking a black crayon and marking as hard as he can to cover up something he hates. If he hadn't been happy with it for years, seems he would have done something else sooner. He could have morphed it into something else, or put heavy leaves over it. Seems these top of the line tattoo artists now could have suggested alternatives. He wanted it gone. |

Ghost, loved every word of your recap...so exciting!!! I could just picture you running as fast as you could to get back to show. It felt like a movie moment.  nica575, thanks for the Russia info and Carla thanks for the link to all TOH shows. I come here every day and could not remember the 2nd part of the tour. Had me confused until I remembered I had a total knee replacement and couldn't sit at the computer more than a few minutes a day for many weeks. Glad that's over...spend hours here now...LOL. I'm so excited about the extended tour. Hope it bleeds over to the US.  Ghost thanks for the 1080 HD, it is so clear. I have been watching all the videos over and over. Adam still had a few moves snuck in there. Haha. Like his final ass at the end of the show. He is such a cutie.  |

I refuse to be expected to defend what I did not say....I did not say "bond" and really hate it when this obfuscation with meaning happens on this board and have made a new years resolution to call it out when it happens to me instead of just leaving. I said relationship...exchange of energy is a relationship...without both partners in the relationship taking part, the relationship does not exist. Adam has commented about this exchange many times and he has shown the infinity tattoo as a signifier of that relationship numerous times. I agree with you all that it is his body and his choices...and I am not claiming he should do anything he does not want ...now or ever. But at some level, he has unilaterally changed how I used to feel that I, in my infinitesimally small way, fit into that exchange. That is ALL I am saying....and it is no biggie... no tears or anger here...just saying...
