I have a possible interpretation for blotting out that symbol. I know what Adam has said about the flow of energy between the audience and himself when performing. I know he has always explained the tattoo that way. But, what if........ it had another, very personal meaning to him that he didn't talk about. Maybe the energy exchange was the public explanation, but there was another, private explanation. And something about that one soured in such a way that he never wanted to see the representation of that personal event/relationship/meaning on his body.... ever. Not even a morphed remnant.
I know Adam told a fan (was it you bama?) he blacked it out because he had never been happy with the way it looked. But, as others have pointed out, he could have altered it, incorporated it into a different design, covered it with something else rather than blotting it out of existence with a big black blob. Watching Adam relate to fans, it is obviously not the result of getting upset with his Glamberts. So, why else?
Just a random thought.

I refuse to be expected to defend what I did not say....I did not say "bond" and really hate it when this obfuscation with meaning happens on this board and have made a new years resolution to call it out when it happens to me instead of just leaving. I said relationship...exchange of energy is a relationship...without both partners in the relationship taking part, the relationship does not exist. Adam has commented about this exchange many times and he has shown the infinity tattoo as a signifier of that relationship numerous times. I agree with you all that it is his body and his choices...and I am not claiming he should do anything he does not want ...now or ever. But at some level, he has unilaterally changed how I used to feel that I, in my infinitesimally small way, fit into that exchange. That is ALL I am saying....and it is no biggie... no tears or anger here...just saying... I understand what you are saying. He has unilaterally changed that for me as well. And since I'm pretty much his bitch like PattiHum, I hope and don't think there is any more to it's eradication other than he didn't think it was done well, the blue color of the jewel tones didn't match the new black art, etc. Of course the blue could have been covered up with black and any edges altered somewhat, etc. He chose to eradicate. It's just the resulting black blob distracts me when I look at that arm. Hopefully it'll grown on me. (Wonder if it annoys him that it's still there....lurking under the black blob....lol) mszue.....at least you don't have to look at that infinity sign on your wrist all the time like I do. LOL. Having said I'm pretty much his bitch......I don't think I'll be turning my infinity tatt into a black blob.

Whoa! OT but bringing back to Adam....if you want to be suspended in the air at sometime while performing Adam....be very careful!!lol Pressparty @pressparty 34m34 minutes ago ICYMI: Stage malfunction leaves Tommy Lee mid-air during Mötley Crüe's final concert. bit.ly/1PD5Ssf
Stage malfunction leaves Tommy Lee mid-air at Mötley Crüe's final gig
Mötley Crüe played their final concert on New Year's Eve at Los Angeles' Staple Center. The show started with The Sound of Music's 'So Long, Farewell' piped through the venue's sound system. Shortly into the set, lead singer, Vince Neil, said: “Most of all, I want to thank you motherf---ers for coming out and spending New Year’s Eve with us. Now let’s get to the music.” The set included hits such as 'Wild Side' and 'Kickstart My Heart, as well as a cover of The Sex Pistols’ Anarchy in the UK.' During Tommy Lee’s drum solo, his drum kit roller coaster malfunctioned in a Spinal Tap moment, leaving him suspended upside down halfway through his solo. As road crew members climbed up the structure, Lee said: “It looks like the roller coaster is broken, well f--- the roller coaster! Come on guys, help. Come get me. I can’t believe this is happening on the last night. I knew something wasn’t right when I took off.”
Lee ended up having to climb down the roller coaster whilst guitarist Mick Mars launched into his solo. The drum kit error meant the band missed the New Year's toast by three minutes.

Bamafan...I'm sure Adam still feels the strong continuous energy flow from his fans and when you look at your infinity symbol that's what you can continue to see and feel. Adam probably just thought his design wasn't what he wanted aesthetically and had nothing to do with his feelings for his fans. You know...Adam has a vision of how things are suppose to look for him and the tattoo didn't do it for him.lol To me #It'sNotThatDeep and I would hate for anyone to feel Adam feels any different towards his fans. HE LOVES AND RESPECTS US and states it in interviews all the time. Got to go pick up my son..BBL.
