Thanks for the advice not to panic. I am not panicked. But I am not happy either. Note to myself: Maybe adding a song too close to the holiday freeze is not a good idea. Feels like ALN did not gain enough momentum and now is a bit lost in the shuffle of new songs. It is neither established because it never gained momentum on the charts before the freeze. Nor is it new and therefore it is not so exciting. I am happy to be talked down on this. Maybe it is just another very slow burner. ALN isn't doing too well in the markets where GT did wonders, so my expectations are very low tbh. They went with TOH in AU (?) already (I know it's summer there= it makes sense), so I am just waiting for TOH here as well, and if ALN does moderately well I am happy. the fact is the Spotify and the MV numbers are very mediocre, and I am not sure what the chicken and what the egg here - radio might be looking at the streaming factors to determine their playlists... who knows, just thinking out loud. In the meantime we have #1 among Idols - nice bragging point!

Not outright panicked but maybe starting to hyperventilate... And of course I won't hear ALN in the Seattle market until hell freezes over anyway, haha. Hoping for some traction in Canada so it will be picked up by the Vancouver and Victoria stations and be all over the car radio like GT was!

Except all the recent promo says 2.5 million worldwide! These are Neilson Soundscan US only numbers includes TEA & streaming so if it is simply an artist total that means it also includes all the remix EP's, Acoustic Live, Playlist Best of Adam Lambert and maybe even Glam Nation as well. He may only have 3 albums but he's got a shit ton of releases all together for only 7 years in to his career. ETA: Given his ratio of about 60/40 US/Worldwide that puts him at closer to 3.5 Worldwide. The 2.5 number is probably what he started this era with and I can easily see this era with TEA/SEA pulling in another million or so worldwide so far, maybe more.

Another million WW for TOH? I doubt it. Shosh said the US and UK are his biggest album sellers. Doubt those 2 even come to 200K! I think 2.5 worldwide, so far, including TOH makes sense.

Another million WW for TOH? I doubt it. Shosh said the US and UK are his biggest album sellers. Doubt those 2 even come to 200K! I think 2.5 worldwide, so far, including TOH makes sense. Ok the 3.5 is an estimate calculated from the hard number in the article for the USA. We are NOT talking just album sales. Those numbers ALL included TEA and Streaming. 2,115,000 from the article is Album Sales + TEA + SEA for USA only. All through FYE era and Trespassing era all the numbers we did get showed he had a pretty solid 60/40 ratio of US sales to the rest of the world sales so calculating from the 2.115 number IF that ratio holds true then TOTAL Sales + TEA + SEA for US + the rest of the world would be about 3.5. That may be a little high but I think 2.5 is a little low. Last album sales numbers we had in August (pure sales) total 71,000. Last estimate I totaled on GT Sales only based on Kworb was Oct 341,000. GT streaming on Spotify alone Worldwide (last I saw) 106,000,000 / 1500 = 70,666 SEA That alone totals almost half a million. Even if you assume the US is 75% of his total worldwide numbers that would put him at 2.8 million overall. If you think he only had 2.5 that would mean almost 85% of his total was the US. My 3.5 may be a high end estimate but 2.5 is too low. 1st two weeks of TOH according to World album chart US only accounted for 55% of the sales 51,659 out of 93,000. That was actually stronger performance out of US percentage wise than either of the previous two albums.

I could buy 2.8 now because the videos and PR articles were written a few months ago. Another 300K, in that time, seems reasonable. But an estimate of 3.5 million does not. And I am the Mary Poppins of numbers!
