Thanks for the thread, Q3!!
Here is a good article that kind of gives the schedule. If I am reading this correctly, it sounds like the Top 24 hang around for 3 weeks? Oh wait! Is this the old format that I loved! They will eliminate 2 boys & 2 girls a week, from Top 24, until they get to Top 12! Hmmmmmm!

Bringing this over from the main thread OT, but Jax has just released her new single "La La Land". Listen to the lyrics and they really seem to be throwing shade at American Idol -- or maybe it's about entering the music industry. What's funny is that its releae coincides with the Idol premiere. Hmmm www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R4T0Nc4jigOh, Jax! So is anyone watching this final season??? Any point in making a new AI thread? All I can say is wow, that's burning bridges. I wonder if the security escort happened because it did seem that she was disappeared almost even for the finale.

Haven't quite finished watching AI but I'm off to bed. I like AI and I'm going to miss it. There, I said it!
I did think the young woman of East Indian descent had a lovely voice -- very pure.

I think some of the extras in the Jax movie video are previous contestants. That young boy was in the last season and the guy with the big hair in an early season. I can't remember his name.

I think some of the extras in the Jax movie video are previous contestants. That young boy was in the last season and the guy with the big hair in an early season. I can't remember his name. I recognized quite a few former contestants. That really is the downside of these singing reality TV shows is the number of people who have had their dreams crushed. It's great for those who can capitalize on their experience but that really is a small minority. I don't like it when the judges gush and you know that the contestant has no way of making it in the business. I still enjoy the shows, but there is a dark side to them. I'm so thankful that Adam has found success.

I wish they wouldn't put through so many people who really aren't good enough. If I was a judge, at least 50% of those people would not have gotten tickets.

Gosh, I thought tonight was a really good show! The judges were right, the girls were bringing it! So far I have 3 favorites, from the 2 nights, and they are all girls. Love seeing Adam's poster.

I'm sure he's going to break my heart w bad song choices or wandering vocals but Dalton, Dalton, Dalton - with his smudged eyeliner and flowered boots. And I hate that song. Per his twitter he's already done some interesting things even though I think he's quite young
(I love Jax and she was treated shabbily at the end to say the least but I don't think she should have led with that song and video as the single - yes it's going to get attn because then it becomes about Idol. Revenge is a dish best served after some success.)

I would have kept the chicken girl and cut the Idol Family girl.
