1.11.16 - 1.17.16 Numbers Thread

Well I am home unexpectedly because the windshield wipers broke on the grooming van and we have thunderstorms all day today. I'll post the detail a bit later, still trying to get some of the Canada stuff to come up.

Given that ALN doesn't seem to be generating the response on streaming services that GT did it is possible they have decided to let it ride without pushing. They may still go ahead and release TOH as a single but they may be waiting to see if it catches on better where they have released it. I'd rather have them do that than push a song to radio with nothing to back it up. I think the combination of GT hanging on as long as it did with Adam not really being available stateside for promo may be the reason it didn't take off here. As I said before ALN has already out performed NCOE so this era is still on a better foot and WBR is known to take a more long term view so they may already see this era as a successful relaunch of Adam.

In summery his singles performed better in the US than last era, he got a top 10 album debut in the UK so his trajectory there is still going up as each album so far has charted higher than the last and he has a World Tour including the States which is better than last era as well. It is even possible that the upfront money for the album was not as big as you might expect because now that Adam confirmed that Max & Shellback offered to oversee his album BEFORE the label signing was a done deal it is entirely possible that they worked for points rather than a large upfront payment and I think there has been a better job done of sync licensing on the songs so maybe more money coming in there than we know. We have no way of knowing for sure.

I think both DMG and WBR have done a really good job of building Adam's profile this era.
