Finally got some information from a couple people at RCA -- I am told that the songs for Adam's album have not been finalized yet and that no one from RCA is discussing what demos he is working on. They say if there was a "little bird" it was not from RCA.
No reason for anyone from 933 FLZ to make it up -- so I am sure they heard it. And Adam has said he wanted to collaborate with Xtina for over 2 years. I hope it is true but I put this in the rumor category.
And certainly Sia and RCA both connect them.
In any case, my favorite part of this rumor and elaborations is Adam performing on the finale of The Voice and debuting his new single. Yes, that would be perfect.

Regarding Xtina's album sales issues --- I think there are lots of problems. In 1999 she had a lot of teen fans and they have grown up and found new artist to love.
Another part of the issue is that she has two 4-year gaps between albums. That is a lifetime for a 15 year old fan.
And the thru in a Christmas and Latin album.
"Christina Aguilera" Released: August 24, 1999 US sales = 9 million
Mi Reflejo Released: September 12, 2000 US sales = 1.2 million (Spanish)
My Kind of Christmas Released: October 24, 2000 US sales = 1+ million
"Stripped" Released: October 26, 2002 US sales = 4.3 million
(4 year gap #1)
Back to Basics Released: August 10, 2006 US sales = 1.7 million
(4 year gap #1)
"Bionic" Released: June 4, 2010 US Sales = 290K
But IMO the biggest problem with "Bionic" is that it is not that good -- Metacritic score based on 21 reviews was only a 56.
From Greg Kot's review -- "The idea is to reinvent Aguilera as a techno-age diva, which means folding her voice inside uptempo dance music and glitchy electronic textures. As she declares on “Not Myself Tonight”: “I’m doing things I normally don’t do.” OK, sounds interesting so far; by making the singer’s prodigious voice less of a focal point, “Bionic” puts the emphasis on the production, the sound, the sheer audacity of upsetting expectations."

All of them post online with the same IDs.
