The article was referring to Pop songs and albums. It is interesting to look at the males who are in the Top 10 as far as singles and albums go. It's definitely shows that the men who are urban/hip hop/rap or put out a collaboration with a pop princess have a huge advantage. These types of male artists and the females are ruling the top of the Pop charts and iTunes at this time. (if you look at the mediabase CHR top 20) I guess Bruno Mars and The Script would be exceptions, so there is always a little room for something different!

I don't worry about Adam and his future songs.. I remember what Monte said a while back. Something like, For fun, I would give Adam the worst songs and somehow he would change them up and make them sound great. Can you imagine how successful Adam will be with great material.Just look how he changed up the songs from his first album. Selling over a million cds around the world, etc. is not chopped liver. IMO The best thing is for Adam to be a different type of singer, original ,not like what's on the air now.. Good voices seem to be making a come back, and no one out there can out sing Adam.Like our favorite singer" I TRUST". ITA -- I want Adam to create great songs that showcase his voice. The biggest way to kill a music career is to try to clone what is popular. But some songs are so bad even Adam can't make them great -- example: "A Loaded Smile". All I hope is that he stays far away from Linda Perry this time. Q3 You are so right about a Loaded Smile and Linda Perry..

Daniel is not in the studio with Joy? The guy was there the first few hours, but had to go home to sleep. I think they said he has morning shift.

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone, I am planning on having a great day both here and about. Gelly - don't worry that you missed it this morning because it wasn't there. I woke up and checked Atop with my first cup of coffee as is my usual custom on weekends and noticed the absence myself. Hmmm .... (I thought) I wonder why? I went to my profile and realized that the birthday/age trigger was off. I had a VERY brief discussion with myself about whether I wanted to turn it on and decided hell yeah! I love birthdays, mine and everybody else's. Here is what I got for my gift, a little summer bling. Oh, and thanks for the "rear" gift. You know I love me some Adam from behind.

NoAngel I don't dislike it, but I do have to be in the mood for it. It's the only one I ever skip, but don't always skip it. From what he said about his sessions with Linda Perry, I doubt he was allowed to improvise much. Sounded she was very much a ~her way or the highway-type producer.
