There was a lot of interesting stuff in the Idol's Live Tour version of WLL -- but having just rewatched the Idol performance -- the are too many camera changes and cut aways to know what he did the whole time. That said -- I do not recall ever hearing there was anything inappropriate in that performance. they are talking about the suggestive mic stand stroking..   LindaG- Happy Birthday.. have a wonderful day and I love your summer Bling I am exhausted.. and feel "buggie" just came in from cutting several acres of grass... ackkk.. tree branches whipped me and mosquitoes and other assorted bugs.. shower time. |

But I remembered on the beginning of the result night Adam said, "I think I heard something that they maybe weren't ready for it"... (Did I say I still have all the performance from top 11 AI to finale in my DVR??... I know I have to move it out to DVD or something, but I only want to move the Adam part of it.. not all of them.. don't need to see the others again.. but it seems a lot of of work to do it  ) |

Well we fought for equality.. I'm actually feeling pretty good about this. Just think when women couldn't be in Rock or country music.. Hey we've come along way. And the chart Q3 just posted above shows that there is still a long ways to go! (7 women out of 50). I think it's a question of perception vs. reality a little bit. So in the top 10's last year, pretty equal women and men, in touring (which favors acts that have been around a long time), still a lot of work to do. Makes sense if you think about the image and persona of a Katie Perry or Gaga being part of their marketing in a way that that of a Posner or Drake maybe isn't quite as much. So we "notice" the pop divas a lot more than the top 40 males, even if it's arguable whether they are dominating or just achieving equality on the charts. |

Well Rock is now and has always been a boys club -- with a handful of women who made it -- Heart, Pretenders, etc. But Country and R&B/Soul music has had big female stars for over 50 years -- Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynne, Dolly, etc. Diana Ross, Aretha, etc. And there were tons of pop divas since the 50's. But what is new is that women are top sellers. I think this may be more about genre popularity than it is about gender equality -- but no matter how we got here -- we have a lot of big female vocalist/stars right now. ETA: Must admit that I can pass on gun toting Rhianna as a equality/strong role model. |

Just chatted with someone who was in the audience for Idol Show WLL -- she remembers no mike stand stroking during the performance. But they had the camera on his face for a chunk of the performance so no way to be sure. If it happened on Idol, it must have been very subtle because I cannot find any online reports about it. And there are a number of eyewitness/audience reports. |

I want him to sing all Queen's Greatest songs with Queen (Brian May & Roger Taylor) in a Queen Concert with Adam Lambert as a guest singer. I can just imagine on Adam on stage singing: We Will Rock You Somebody to Love Save Me - accoustic with Brian May Another On Bites the Dust Don't Stop Me Now We Are The Champion Crazy Little Thing Called Love You're My Bestfriend Killer Queen Play the Game and Bohemian Rhapsody ETA:.. off course..
