FHS --- great post! Love the story. And I must admit that when I ended up 4 rooms down the hall from Adam in Tunica Resorts, MS, I "had" to get ice more than once. And I "had" to walk by his suite.

But that was so tame -- I guess I have a different definition of "inappropriate". Not exactly the AMA performance I don't think it was inapprorpriate, either. It was pure Rock Star! And much milder than what the Idol results' night guests were doing! Adam also said in an interview, maybe the same one with Slezak, that he was surprised he was able to say "every inch of my love" without Idol trying to change that lyric. I don't think the AMA performance was inappropriate either, for the type of show it was and the hour. I really really believe the ONLY reason Adam got any crap for the AMA kiss and face/crotch move was because the show had no warning.. They had no "heads up" so they could turn camera away.. had he given them that courtesy there never would have been anything said.. I would lay money on it..

Four doors down!!! Ice would have been needed every quarter hour just to cool down. Avoiding being a headline would have been a full time job. Very proud of your restraint, Q3, impressive indeed!

A bit OT but was at a night of Jazz standards last night sung by a selection of Australia's "best vocalists" for opening of International Jazz festival. I am not usually a jazz fan but do like a couple of the singers so decided to go along.
Spent the whole night thinking "well Adam would have sung that so much better"... LOL. But seriously makes you reevaluate how good those artists (Sinantra, Como, Ella et al) were. Those songs have no where to hide and all the singers struggled to sing through the notes cleanly. Too used to riffing all around instead of smoothly transitioning along the melody. Reminded me of when Robert Plant accepted his Grammy for album "raising sand" and thanked Alison Krauss for teaching him how to sing in a straight line.
Carrry on.

????????????? What is this from? MJs? An article? Poor Scotty...He doesn't know what is coming at him this summer, does he? Scotty will be kissing that cross every night on the tour. It is a comment from MJs posted by someone who is not a Scotty fan. There are some Idol fans whose Idols are not doing well right now who are being a bit bitchy about the success Scotty is having. JMHO but I think it is jealously. Scotty has a lot of older fans who remind me of Archie's fans -- they look at him as a cute nice kid. It was Kirsten who said during his home visit Scotty found out he has all ages fans and he said there were some girls and older women who said they wish they're 50yo younger. So I guess Scotty said it in one of his interview or something. Q3 comment: Discussion of Scotty and his fans is closed.
If you have comments on American Idol, please post in the Idol thread. Thanks.

Ack - must get out of here. Taking our daughter to her very first HMS Pinafore show tonight. Lawn seats, so we can scoot if she starts acting up. However, if she does ok today, next stop is orchestra for Mikado later this month. She's listened to us sing songs from it at bedtime her whole life, but with...um...bastardized lyrics. To the tune of "Tit Willow"We're hoping she not too confused. That's awesome, Hoppers!! Good luck with [kidlet]! Hope she sits still for her patron of the arts debut. I have a friend whose very much into theater and concerts (haven't yet asked her about Adam); I think she would love. She is a Freddie Mercury stan. Anyway, she has a 5-year-old daughter and takes her everywhere. When I commented that it's great her daughter does so well at late shows, etc., she said, "Yep, I told her, 'This is what we do in this family, so you're going to have to learn.'" And apparently, she has.

So I guess Scotty said it in one of his interview or something. So as not to cause a misunderstanding -- I was not referring to Kristen and her comment was not the comment that was posted here. This is the original comment "Yes, it will be interesting to see how Scotty responds when he sees mostly women old enough to be his momma in autograph lines, not the 16 year old girls he may be anticipating " A different poster added "Ah, his grandmother more likely. Yes, he’s in for an awakening. Why do I find this slightly more unsettling than usual? I guess it’s his age. I mean, it’s odd enough when the guy in question is in his latter twenties. When he’s coming out of puberty though… ack. It’s just WRONG." Kristen and a few other posters responded to both of these ageist posts with sensible comments. Both of the two comments I quoted above were posted by fans of a different Idol who have been critical of Scotty and his fans. Standard fair in the Idol Bubble. Been there, wasted too much time on that. ------ End of topic. ------ If you have a comment on these comments from MJs please post them on her blog. But people have already responded to the first two silly comments that I reposted above------- Thanks ------

Re: Adam and Xtina dueting. I wasn't sure how I felt about the possibility, but I love the rumors going around the press. For example, this quote:
"Two of the most powerful voices of our times are coming together: Adam Lambert and Christina Aguilera have recorded a duet together."
Love that Adam is getting cred for his voice just because he is rumored to be singing with Xtina. Makes me smile all over.

Loved it! Set me up for enjoying musical performances from then on.
