Some excellent "memory lane" pics of Wilkes Barre 6.4.10. goo.gl/7B4ilFrom some unknown web site that is apparently MSN TV groups. Found on Google search for old tweets. (that's why you'll see highlighted words in your scroll.) But GNT with shirt...don't see that too often. Hard to believe that that was only a year ago -- seems like a lifetime to me. And I got to be there.

The unbroadcast F-you hand gesture at the end of the AMA FYE performance was not appropriate for prime time network TV -- which it was in the Central Time Zone. But the director, called a cutaway audience shot for that moment. If they had not, it would have been a huge FCC mess for ABC and the affiliates. It is a specifically banned action for network broadcast TV except in late night. The rest really is an example of the double standard for men vs. women. Um...I don't see the face-smash-in-crotch thing a double standard. I thought it was inappropriate when Pink did it on an awards show and I think it was inappropriate when Adam did it. I think she heard about that too. Such a graphic in-your-face move-heh. no pun intended. I just groaned and felt sick when I saw that. And then that finger-ACK. I was a nervous wreck waiting for the reprecussions.(sp?) Thank the Universe he was strong and survived that night. Altho I know people who would not give him another chance after that. Some in my family. I will keep repeating until the end of time ;D - THIS IS THE MOMENT THAT MADE ADAM INTO AN INTERNATIONAL STAR! THANK GOD HE WAS MOVED TO DO THOSE MOVES!!!!

There are female dom characters on prime time TV shows. But a man, straight or gay, portraying a bi-dom and performing an S&M themed song, is not acceptable. It is not imagery that people are used to seeing on broadcast TV. I agree and he didn't smash the face into his crotch. He smashed the face into his belt buckle! The only thing about the performance I didn't like was that the vocal was "off" and he didn't have the "Adam joy" he usually exhibits while performing. There was no "wink, aren't I ridiculous?"

I also think that the people who were turned off by it to the extent that they stopped liking him would have come to that point anyway eventually, so no great loss. I say if Adam is too much for you to handle, let the rest of us handle him!

Actually, there was that shoulder shrug and wasn't that ridiculous expression but it was not broadcast. We only have still photos of it unless I just wiped that out of my memory. ETA: No it was not broadcast. But here it is:

No, I saw the still of that as well. I think it was right after the finger and the expression was a very sheepish "oh, well, what are you gonna do?" look.
