Just saw in the Seattle Times that KISS 106.1 (iHeart) is going to switch from Top 40 to HAC. They're the no. 7 station in Seattle for the 18-49 demographic. Maybe this will bode well for Adam in the crappy Seattle market. KLCK has added ALN to their playlist, but the last I saw they were playing it maybe once a day, overnight.

Thinking about the Pop Drop (LOL) It might be relevant in the sense that if ALN continues to climb and reaches top 20, it could reappear even if it has dropped off. These things do happen. I am not holding my breath but Adam is coming back to the States and touring and AI is happening. Maybe sooner then we think if he is appearing more than just at the finale. It seems that is the case. So there will be buzz. Might not impact Pop but you never know. This is all true & since it won't get purged, can pop in and out of the top 50 for forever! LOL! But, personally, i am torn between wanting it to come back when/if ALN goes Top 20 on HAC. Or, wanting TOH released in March! |

The Light is going ballistic in Spotify by the way. Average / day over 2 days was 12k streams. Highest ever. While all the other songs leveled on their 7 day average TL rose significantly. TL dropped a bit back to 10k / day, but is now on 7 day average higher than IIHY. Only GT, ALN, WWFM and Runnin' doing better. |

Looks like status quo on HAC for tomorrow...would've been nice to see a little less anemic increases tbh and pass Biebs, but ain't happening... next week for sure, and as long as nobody passes - #23 in two weeks... I was secretly hoping to get to #20 for his birthday, but as long as there is some forward movement we are OK...

I was secretly hoping to get to #20 for his birthday, but as long as there is some forward movement we are OK...According to the last chart recap on HAC Bieber's What Do You Mean and Jesse Glynn's Hold My Hand will be at 20 weeks this week and both were negative last week and will be this week so possible they will both go. The person who posts the HAC recaps doesn't do a forward looking post so I have to just kind of figure out what is coming up from the summaries. But it looks to me like it is indeed possible that both of those songs will go. |

Not sure if they do exact day counts or not but yes on Jess Glynn so likely # 24 (or better if Biebs goes away) and if nothing passes by birthday weekend, #22 since TS will drop below 10 and Bieb will drop below or be so close to 20 weeks or would have left this week.  The road to 20? That looks like a longer slog. Confident and Gwen are dropping but HAC doesn't drop quickly and they have a long way to go and only 90 days charting. Ellie King below 10 will give one slot but it may be awhile. So ALN needs some spinning boast to catch another song and avoid being caught. Any other ideas? Not complaining! It is great to see his second single in the top 25 and close to top 20. I sure hope it gets over the finish line so there are bragging rights that the first two singles were radio hits. That is such an important perception. It already is a hit at 25 but somehow that top 20 has its own magic. |
