On HAC Taylor's Wildest Dreams did go but neither Bieber or Glynne did so I am confused. I guess this means they get pulled AFTER 20 weeks which would mean next week. Ok so I went and figured it out using the pop charts. The songs go recurrent AFTER 20 weeks in other words week #21 so Bieber & Glynne will go recurrent on HAC next Sunday. I was counting the debut week as week one but if you do it that way then week #21 is the first week it can actually leave the chart. Makes sense because that way it has 20 weeks ON the chart. I never bothered to pay that close attention before because the Top 40 thread gives us the upcoming recurrents and I never had to count those before. ETA: Official positions CHR #46, HAC #24 Also, that HAC Summary on Pulse is really kind of ridiculously confusing. IMO, most of what he says is what already happened. However, I think these 3 categories are him saying what the current situation is. Which translates to what might happen on the upcoming Sunday! For instance, his Wildest Dreams statement. Songs below #5 eligible to go recurrent when falling below #10: "Wildest Dreams".
Former top 10s now below #10 eligible to go recurrent: None.
Songs below #10 eligible to go recurrent when reaching 2 weeks w/o a bullet: None.

ETA: Official positions CHR #46, HAC #24 Also, that HAC Summary on Pulse is really kind of ridiculously confusing. Only in comparison to the top 40 post. Once I realized that it was a summary not a forward looking report it is quite clear. Jan 17th was indeed week #19 for Bieber & Glynne and today is week #20. The problem is I forgot the rule is AFTER 20 weeks on the chart which means the songs actually LEAVE in week #21 not week #20. I had to go look at when the debut in CHR was and the date listed for recurrency then count to see how that was done. I've never tried to figure them myself before always just relying on someone else's posts about who was leaving but since no one is giving upcoming info on HAC I didn't have anything to go by. ETA: in response to your other post ALL of the info in the HAC post is a summary of that chart date. Nothing is forward looking.

I disagree. Using this, from last week, as an example:
Exiting the Survey: "Renegades", peak of #1, 28 weeks on, to recurrent
------------------------------
If, his entire summary was actual what already happened, then Renegades would also have been in the category of Songs below #10 eligible to go recurrent when reaching 2 weeks w/o a bullet: None.
But as you can, see, it wasn't. It says "none" ------------------------
It was, however, here on the week before's report: Songs below #5 eligible to go recurrent when falling below #10: "Renegades". "Wildest Dreams". ------------------------
On his new report this week, I think we will see both Beiber and Glynne listed here: Songs below #10 eligible to go recurrent when reaching 2 weeks w/o a bullet:
It's not logical or the correct verb tense to list songs that already are gone in these 3 categories of his summary, IMO.

Sigh, my head hurts. I give up trying to figure this shit out and will go back to letting someone else do it. All I am absolutely sure of at this point is that today's chart is week #20 for Bieber & Glynne. You guys take it from there.

That DNCE song is HOT! Probably written by that same Swedish team that worked with Adam (just heard an interview with Jonas about it on the radio) Honestly, I just wish they would ditch ALN (nothing against the song, I like it). I feel like they are just dragging out the inevitable. I also don't get why they released the video so early. Anyway, looking forward to a third single. If you are talking about Cake By The Ocean, it was written by Joe Jonas and Adam's friend Justin Tranter as well as Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson. ML & RF also worked on the song TOH.

ok, so next week we may see #22, but to get there ALN needs to have spin increases in double digits to just stay ahead of the songs below...the "+1"s ain't good enough...
