Never got around to answering this question last week & I think it is a good question! IMO, it is better to hit Top 40 because then you have a Top 40 song. Also, hitting Top 40 gets the song on Count Downs. No Top 40 CDs is one of the things that has really hurt ALN. That being said, I don't think it is going to happen. Maybe later, if ALN on HAC inspires Top 40. But what I would love to see now, is a Top 10 on HAC, with a TOH release in March.  Thanks Patti, that's what I was thinking too. And yeah, top 10 on HAC would be great! |

Does the top 40 on POP actually get on countdowns too? I get confused too, but find it a little less confusing to look at "Top 40" radio as "CHR" (Contemporary Hits Radio). Ryan (and Rick Dees?) do two countdowns, on for HAC and one for CHR. I assume ALN has been appearing on HAC countdowns and getting radio plays from those syndicated shows, but it hasn't been on the CHR ("Top 40") countdowns so has been missing out on a ton of spins. If it could break into the top 40 on the Top 40 list, it would then be played on the countdowns and gain more spins. Am I correct? |

Does the top 40 on POP actually get on countdowns too? Yes, it does, but usually about 3 weeks late. Ryan tweaks it a little, but not much. Yes, you are correct. About 100 more spins every weekend. Ryan also does a Top 40 countdown on HAC. ALN is on both Ryan's and Rick Dees HAC Top 40. |

I know the stations, let me check & see if they have any adds yet. BRB! I'm back! Nope! None of the auto adds have added yet! So, looks like we might get at least 7 HAC adds today. |
