Oh my gosh.....Marko and Melanie just gave me chills! (I'll vote for our Sasha, but there are some other incredible dancers this year!) Missed Melanie and Marko. Will have to find you-tube performance. What style of dance did they do?

Nick upstaged that old gal! (I'm evil!) Agree with you here! ;D She only 30, I think I think she has just had too much tanning. I like Nick. He is so fun to watch and he did great in the Quick Step.

Sasha is a strong dancer but she has a lot of competition in this grou p. She does not have the elegant lines such as Missy and Melanie. Melanie did the stone dance. Her extension is over 190. Clarice and Caitlyn are also god. but Miranda just no. I think a lot comes down to the choreography. I think the ballroom dancer, the last dancer, and also the oldest I believe she's 29, I'm thinking is a "token' ballroom dancer which is Mary, the judge, forte. I will vote for Sashs for now, but I'm seeing stronger dancing as noted above. But as was previously mentioned, this is America's Favorite Dancer. Not the most technically correct danceer. If Sasha is in the top 3 girls, skills wise, with her peronality and stage presence, she has a good chance of winning.

Okay, just saw the stone dance with Melanie and Marko.
Definitely unique and beautiful!
ETA: Still voted for Sasha though! Loved her expressiveness!

another you tube of Sasha, must include judges comments. I love the part where she is facing him and lefts her leg backward, arches it and hits him on the forehead.. Also, the part where she jumps on to him, wraps her legs around him and extends in a back bend eventually to the floor. What I like so much about her dancing is that she seems weightless. All of her moves are so light and seemingly effortless, but fierce. The skill required to do these move requries a level of body control and athletescism(sp) that is extreme. Melanie is the better dancer, however, I think that Sasha is better in physique. I think that was Nigel's polite way of saying that Sasha's sister was larger than expected for a dancer. Melanie's thighs have a lot of muscle mass. It's great for her dancing, but doesn't fit the dancer's physique that one usually sees. This will not hurt her at all on this show, but I bet it will be a factor in the dancer world.

This is only the second year I watch the show. Do they always have voting for couples instead of individual dancers at this stage?
Not sure how this works - do people vote for their favourite single dancer and ignore whoever the partner was? So if lots of people vote for Sasha for example but her partner isn't so hot, then he benefits from her popularity? Am I making any sense?
