Hahahaha! Thanks for that 4msrmyn!! That was indeed one of Adam's less than stellar outfits.....still makes me giggle. ;D ...he rarely makes a misstep now, though...right? Dorkiest hairdo and outfit? Nooo...That title belongs to the GLAMPONCHO and the GLAMWEAVE OF DOOM. Or possibly the facial hair with the pomp. *shudder* I'm sticking with YH for dorkiest. That was my first OMGWWHT. At the time, I was skerred that was gonna be his new look. Now I just think he was buzzed and he thought he was looking doubly fine in the mirror.

More evidence that twitter is the devil. Remember last week when the Senator said that his twitter account had been hacked and someone was trying to embarrass him by sending some woman a picture of him in his underwear? He swore he NEVER sent that picture.
Fast forward to yesterday, and, in an emotional press interview, he comes clean. Yup, he sent that photo. He was engaged in sexting on twitter and facebook. While married.
If he thought his career was in trouble when news leaked about the tweets, he now can see it circling the bowl with the realization the the damage control he attempted was much more damaging than what he was trying to control.
Sound familiar? Seems that twitter gives many people even greater freedom to publicly do dumb ass things that come back to bite them in the butt. Even savvy, politically trained, highly successful and visible dumb asses.
We are all still figuring out how this whole social media thing works, and since it seems to be evolving much faster than we are able to keep up with, there are no rules or handbooks or online courses to help keep us out of trouble.
Again, makes us marvel at how well Adam is doing on that front!

mszue I have to go now , but I respectfully disagree, about this person I mean. I dont waste my time banning everyone who doesnt like Adam. It's not about not liking Adam. Before I posted this I looked at everything from this person's feed, and I DO think she's horrible and nasty not only to Adam but to the whole band. JMHO I looked at her feed too, and I have to say I agree with mszue. This person's opinions are stupid but I don't think the level of offense rises to the point of harassment. Adam and the band members can block her from their accounts if they so desire, but I don't think we should get to the point where we report everyone who says nasty things about Adam. It's her opinion. If she started threatening him or the band members, then yes, I would report her. But she's just a moron who is easily ignored. So apparently I am the only one who instantly recognized the behavior of an Adommy tinhatter continually tweeting ugliness at Adam and friends because Adam is not cooperating in their shipping fantasy and has the nerve to have an actual boyfriend? Srsly, the tweets are textbook. If I understand correctly it takes a ton of reports to actually shut down an twitter account. Many times when it looks like one has been shut down, actually the person on twitter is a troll who shut it down themselves because they got bored with spewing nastiness. Plus technically you are not reporting them for hatefulness, you are reporting them for spam, which is repeated tweeting of messages with similar intent to the same targets over and over again. It is not an abuse of power to report this when you see it. It's up to everyone to make their own choice, of course.

Again, makes us marvel at how well Adam is doing on that front! I understand all this Cassie but I still do not know what the criteria are for having somebody's twitter removed? Is it a 'numbers' thing?...so many complaints and someone is removed? Is there a live person, somewhere, making these decisions? Who might this be? Who gets to decide what is appropriate and what is not? Do we get to examine their world-view? Does a computer simply look for specific 'terms'??? Is it taken more seriously if the nasty tweets are going to a celebrity? Does the deleted person then lose all their contacts and have to 'start over'? Is there a way that 'starting over' is controlled? If not, what really is the point? Real haters just start over..... Could a bunch of Subo fans...or Durbin fans....decide they did not like ADam and have him blocked? What would it take for that to happen? If a true 'fan war' erupted, how far could the blocking go? any ideas?? ETA just saw whatfan post....do retweets show up in the tweet record? the person we are looking at this time has went out a total of 70 tweets as of when I looked this morning...does that not represent retweets...how do you tell that number??? Is it that her tweets are re-tweeted or she is retweeting other's messages? What is she doing that is deserving of banning....just asking here as I seriously want to understand this. I do not 'like' her or agree w/her but....?ing banning....that's all

Hey everyone I tweeted this to @squirrely007 since she has many followers and she tweeted it. Please everyone on twitter block and report this wacko. >:(
14gelly @squirrely007 Hey, can u please take a look and RT to block since u have many followers ? Thank you. twitter.com/Augustinache
I went to this feed and I think it is ridiculous to start 'blocking' everyone who does not like Adam. We here are the first to yell 'freedom of expression'....I did not look through everything but this person was not being horrific...nasty...do not like..but not deserving of banning just for what I saw. If you ban every negative voice you dilute the impact of banning and move into 'cray' territory. This person has sent out 70 tweets [if I remember correctly] and has either 6 followers or 2...don't remember which number was following and which was follower....either way, completely harmless. Don't waste precious cred and ammunition on minnows....save it for when it is important. JMHO" On the other hand it only took me 3 seconds to block and report, so done ! Her attacks were very personal. I wrote this as I read the thread so apologies if it has already been addressed...

Mszue hopefully this will ease your mind. support.twitter.com/entries/64986-how-to-report-spam-on-twitterAlso, I cannot imagine any way that randoms on twitter could get a legit verified account with more than a million followers like Adam's shut down through this process. Please don't worry.

This person obviously hates Adam but there are no threats and no Homophobic or Jewish hate posts. Those would be grounds for blocking. If we send complaints for people like this, then there is a possibility that twitter will ignore invetigating other complaints when they come, like some of the death wishes others have posted. But mys*&@^#r50 most people are using the easy drop down report for spam option. According to Twitter Help, there is no requirement for threats or hate, the bar is set much lower for that function. The example in the link I just posted above that fits is "Abusing the @reply or @mention function to post unwanted messages to users" so unless you think Adam wants to receive multiple nasty messages from the same user day in and day out, it qualifies. Is it worth your time to do it? That's really up to you.

I had to leave from work and I didn't say one more thing I had to say. One of the things that this person says to Tommy and to Adam is that they are pedophiles.I read all of her feed and went to all her links before I decided to block her. I dont do these things in a hurry. If blocking this person makes me cray I take that title. And of course it's everyone's choice to decide what to do. I wont post anything like that again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.
