I love this Maroon 5 song. Adam Levine is the singer Thanks, aloha. What genre of music does his group fit into? It's pop.  Maroon 5 --- I think more accurately pop-rock, pop and rock. Live they lean more rock, for radio more pop. Like any rock artists who want to get airplay. They have done some pretty good music -- but also are responsible for "Misery" last year which was played so much it made me miserable. This is their biggest hit: |

Maroon 5 is kind of an interesting case, bit of an outlier. I'll drop a note and vids on the music rec thread in case anyone's interested and then delete in a day or two.
Re the dead thread, maybe people are were I was, playing with Google's header salute to Les Paul - it's awesome!

But I really like Makes Me Wonder. Levine has an interesting voice. |

I've heard "This Love" on every format waaay more than I ever heard "Misery." Wait, this is NOT the "Misery" vid I've seen. I HATED this video sooooo much. It was a total glorification of female on male abuse to the point of homicide. Turning tables is not a legitimate theme. The entire video sickens me. Just watched the vid again. I stand by my previous assessment. I think Adam Levine is marginally sexy, but has nothing on our Adam; he is ridic skinny. I don't know what they were thinking with that video. |
