IF I WERE RCAED, IN THE NEXT THREE MONTHS I WOULD DO ****** GETTING READY FOR ADAM'S NEW ALBUM ?? If I were RCAEd, I would make dammned sure that Adam got his album out THIS YEAR, and BEFORE the Christmas holiday season. The heck with the "six-months" BS being spouted yesterday. :( I agree - get it released around the same time of the year as FYE, so that it's available for the Black Friday shopping. |

Q3 do you KNOW that Adam was in Miami til Wednesday and is now in LA? Or are you speculating? SIX MONTHS til the Album drops???? Wut? And he (RCAED) said he only hopes for that. Why would it take that long - hasn't Adam already done 20 songs? Rhetoricalquestion, that. >:( Re David Cook: Why would RCA pick a "weak" song for the lead single? Shouldn't they have their finger on the pulse of what will fly? And wasn't Cook sent back to the drawing board by RCA once or twice? I'm only his album as it relates to Adam2. I hope RCA gets their shizz together. Heh. I see my post is all questions.

this is pretty cool CNN footage of Adam Lambert's visit to Belvedere Middle School in February 2010 (via @hooplamagnet): bit.ly/k8qqGB quoting myself This is all the footage CNN filmed for his visit. I really enjoyed his interactions with the kids. I think it is worth watching, especially when there is nothing new out. It is about 40 minutes or so Thanks so much for bringing this over. Adam is so natural and charming and positive. At the same time, he is articulate and aware and creates wonderful soundbites. He is sure to include relevant info about the charity and about the importance of music in the school systems. One could almost imagine that it was scripted because of that. Smart man! |

Not sure why labels pick the singles they do! I am assuming that the first one they picked for DC was because they thought it was the most radio friendly. I haven't listened to clips, for the new album, but others have and have seen some performed live and have said there are 2 others they consider much better choices.
I will say one thing, though. It looks like RCA is doing a great media blitz for him. Big party in NYC the day of release and an appearance on the Today show. Adam will have a bigger advanatge because shows that are on hiatus for summer, like Ellen, will be back when Adam 2 is released.
If Ed is right about the 6 month timeline, I just don't know what to say. And that sick feeling in my stomach has nothing to do with me being impatient and wanting new Adam music. It has to do with them missing the big holiday season and the biggest selling time for new music! I just can't imagine Adam or RCA wanting to release the album that late in the year.

I haven't listened to his whole album, and am really not a Cook fan, but fans always say they know which song would make a good single and which would not. Is it possible that none of them fit into today's musical landscape?? As for the 6 month wait...hasn't it been established that he is at the bottom of the food chain and really doesn't know squat? I too don't see why they would wait till after the holiday buying time.... |
