I'm wondering why fans so quick to forget that Adam's actually performing in one of Middle Eastern Countries. Dubai is probably one the MOST moderate city in the region, but they still have value/culture they have to uphold. And every performer/artist has to respect this culture. I am happy that there's no religion group that's standing outside the festival holding up signs to protest Adam, like we have here in the US or like one in Singapore.
Also it's possible that Dubai has regulation like China, where Adam has to submit songs that he wants to perform and have to be approved by whatever government agency that handle it.

Wonder why Adam started following this Idol contest....other than maybe he's cute. lol. Is this the contestant folks were comparing looks wise to Adam? Maybe he will be duetting with him? (A completely random guess on my part - I'm not watching AI yet. Is he a good singer?)

Not meaning to be negative but doesn't Adam have a management team to advise him. Doing IIHY and the long band intro to end on seems like such a downer, it's nice to introduce the band and dancers when it's just his fans in attendance. I've never been to a high energy festival concert where the solo act ends with band introductions, maybe for jazz but not for pop or rock. He should have skipped that and ended on a big high with Trespassing and AOBTD. I'm so glad they loved him in Dubai but I wasn't crazy about the set list tonight, sad smile. I remember the same opinion at the beginning of TOH tour, some people who's not actually attending the concert and only see/hear it from YT or stream think IIHY as a downer, but I remember some fans who's actually attending the concert said that they actually enjoy IIHY and having fun. I think it's personal preferences. And as it proven DMG knows artist management, and Adam knows how to put on a show and so don't think his management will get involve in what kind of set he chooses to do on his concerts.

I did notice that he was cute. lol I usually watch Idol, but have gotten behind this year and thought I'd start watching at the Top 10 mark. Don't know how he was brought to Adam's attention, except I think I read somewhere that he was being compared to Adam...punky haircut and pretty eyes, etc. ETA: I also noticed that he already has almost 100,000 twitter followers, which is a lot this early in the game.

I'm not laughing. Censorship will not only influence the sources of information but, as well, the arts. In one of the first concerts I organized in Dubai a band that was playing sang the word “fuck” and I will not forget those 15mins of telling off that the owner of the venue gave me, for being afraid of the authorities that, often, attend these events undercover. Found at bkpk.me/why-i-left-dubai-and-wont-come-back-part-22/I read that blog....WOW I do wonder why anyone goes there.. From what I read, Dubai is the new place for the riches like HeWhoCannot amed's children to go hang out.

He was in a boy band & had 80K followers when Idol season 15 started. If he makes the voting rounds, he could be hard to beat!

I read that blog....WOW I do wonder why anyone goes there.. Whoa...I had no idea Dubai was like this. But I knew nothing about the country so this is really eye opening information. The country looks very modern and they have buildings with amazing and modern architecture that you probably won't find in the US or some western countries. However, Dubai is only the city in United Arab Emirate, it is one of the middle eastern countries.

I doubt anyone wants a plastic cup (with previously held liquid in side/maybe still liquid inside as an empty cup may not fly quite that far) thrown at them /or at a costume. I did not notice any liquid but who knows.
I can appreciate Adam's remark. I was at an "exclusive" event, in western garb, wearing a caramel colored leather blazer that had a "sheen" finish on it. This event was not out in some pasture, but in a beautifully landscaped backyard/acreage in the middle of the city. A guy was making this traditional syllabub drink (milking a cow's milk into a liquor laden fancy bucket) after some welcoming remarks. He decided it would be funny to direct the cow's teets to the audience and spray people with the cow's milk. I turned and the spray hit the back of my jacket...which was never the same after that!! Not sure the others who got it in the face/hair/clothes were too impressed either. There was no laughing...just an OHHHH... from the crowd. It's bloody rude. I mean it's hardly a punk gig, it it? Is it a kind of 'notice me' thing, d'ya think? From what I heard it's common in the festival, to throw up stuff to the stage. He would be lucky if it's only water/beer/tea inside the cup. They can fill it with "other liquid" you don't want to know.
