OT - My son was offered a job in Kansas City, Missouri. If we have any members that live there or near there, what is the winter like out there and what about tornadoes? Appreciate any information.

I spent two years in St. Louis, Missouri, when my husband was attending law school. Other law school friends were from Kansas City, and on weekends, planning bridge/dinner parties, when the sky turned green, they determined how safe it was to travel. Never experienced a tornado, but let's face it, with changing weather patterns (including a devastating tornado in Springfield MA a couple of years ago, we should be prepared.

From Terrances SC background ( the M&G background wall) I would say they set up today for tomorrow. Thinking they probably did a full rehearsal. Makes me wonder if they changed anything for the US. If I could change anything, I would want whatever the new US single is, to be a stand alone song. If it is TOH, would like to see it not part of The Light and NCOE combo! Would also like to see the new single actually released!

But I am glad that we get so much variety and medleys help with that. I'm not holding my breath, but if he were to throw "Shame" into the mix I'd be over the moon. lol Can't wait to listen in tomorrow nite and find out the set list. I'm so excited!!!

And I also hope they release the new single (TOH!) soon! If he'll be performing it on Idol, you'd think it would be beneficial for it to be a little familiar to the viewers. i guess we'll have the answer to the first question in 24 hours!

Thank you for the information. My family has never traveled to the Midwest. It will be interesting if he accepts the job there. He also has an offer for a position in Denver. I don't like the snow at all, but he may not mine; he used to snowboard alot.

Or perhaps the grand finale on 5-7 April? I would suppose kicking it off on radio would also mean that a music video would be released as well (has it even been filmed?) And I'm hoping for some US TV appearances to start the single out strong as well

My son and my brother live in Kansas City, MO. Tornadoes are not a problem. In the 30 years that my brother has lived there and the 3 years my son has lived there, no one has ever has ever mentioned tornadoes. There is snow in the winter. My son has had winters in Des Moines, Iowa and Kansas City, MO. His perception is that the winters in Iowa are more brutal than Kansas City. Kansas City, MO does not have the infrastructure to handle extreme cold or snow as Des Moines, IA has. Bottom line. Winter is not that bad compared to the rest of the mid-west and tornadoes are not a problem.
