OT - My son was offered a job in Kansas City, Missouri. If we have any members that live there or near there, what is the winter like out there and what about tornadoes? Appreciate any information. My son and my brother live in Kansas City, MO. Tornadoes are not a problem. In the 30 years that my brother has lived there and the 3 years my son has lived there, no one has ever has ever mentioned tornadoes. There is snow in the winter. My son has had winters in Des Moines, Iowa and Kansas City, MO. His perception is that the winters in Iowa are more brutal than Kansas City. Kansas City, MO does not have the infrastructure to handle extreme cold or snow as Des Moines, IA has. Bottom line. Winter is not that bad compared to the rest of the mid-west and tornadoes are not a problem. I lived there for a while -- it is a very nice mid-western city. I was only there 18 months and I still have friends there. Tornadoes are not a huge problem there -- although they can hit anywhere in North America. KC is in a bit of a quiet part of tornado alley. The weather is OK. www.usclimatedata.com/climate/kansas-city/kansas/united-states/usks0298There is a bit of snow but it usually melts quickly: www.currentresults.com/Weather/Missouri/Places/kansas-city-snowfall-totals-snow-accumulation-averages.php The winters are mild compared to the Northeast or northern Midwest. People there are friendly and nice. For me, this is more important than the weather. If you moved there from LA or NYC or Chicago, it might seem like there is not a lot to do and a limited restaurant scene. But if you moved there from Omaha, it would seem like there is a lot to do. (I moved there was Omaha.) I liked it, but I am adaptable and have learned to look for the best in the places I lived. And I like smaller cities.

He has to make his decision by Wednesday. Sorry to bring this up on the thread, but I knew there would be some members that could give me some information. Now to bring it back to Adam, this is my son who will be driving me to the concert in DC. Can't wait for March 5th; thought I would not get a chance to attend one of the TOH concerts.

From Terrances SC background ( the M&G background wall) I would say they set up today for tomorrow. Thinking they probably did a full rehearsal. Makes me wonder if they changed anything for the US. If I could change anything, I would want whatever the new US single is, to be a stand alone song. If it is TOH, would like to see it not part of The Light and NCOE combo! Would also like to see the new single actually released! Do you think maybe they'll drop NCOE and replace it with something more popular in the US (if they keep that medley)? And I also hope they release the new single (TOH!) soon! If he'll be performing it on Idol, you'd think it would be beneficial for it to be a little familiar to the viewers. i guess we'll have the answer to the first question in 24 hours! I wouldn't be disappointed if they dropped NCOE and replaced it with another upbeat song.

But I am glad that we get so much variety and medleys help with that. I'm not holding my breath, but if he were to throw "Shame" into the mix I'd be over the moon. lol Can't wait to listen in tomorrow nite and find out the set list. I'm so excited!!! I would love to hear Shame!
