Happy Sunday morning! Q3, I so appreciate that you share all your industry wisdom with us. I always look forward to your insight. Thank you! NoAngel, thanks again for the morning giggles! I would definitely need to have my name written on my hand. Happy Birthday, Tigerlily! I love that Eber interview! Sigh...

Out of lurking to say thanks to everyone for such a fun thread yesterday. I apologize if this was already speculated on, but could Adam have been staying at The Marlin Hotel South Beach? It's billed as a 'rock n roll hotel,' only has a dozen suites and a major recording studio with an impressive client list: www.southbeachstudios.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=55&Itemid=54Seems like the perfect place to have hidden away while recording. And I love that white shirt from Kfest. One of my favorite looks from him. Now that it's summer, he needs to recycle that particular piece of clothing into his outfits.

Scroll alert Monte Tommy news over at adamquotedaily. More pics similar to the one posted with little Tommy. (pics by lightloveadam and others) ... edit...vids to come and more pics being added as I write this. "What an incredible time we had last night! Monte, Tommy and Warren private performance for about 100 happy Glamberts! We were all so close it was surreal!Great music, great venue, great friends and great food and drink! An hour of live music followed by a chance for pictures and chatting with the boys!
Thank you so much to the beautiful and delightful @kcinkcity (and friends) for all the work involved in putting together two amazing nights. These two parties financed 20% of Monte's new album which should be out eventually."adamquotedaily.blogspot.com/scroll down until this section comes in view, Seems like this is one of the groups that bought the opportunity to have Monte do a live performance. Some groups organized to pay his way to play for them... Just assuming this is one of those groups supporting Monte in his second album. I did a skype session with Monte and he talked briefly.... apologizing for the misperception that all three (Monte, Tommy and Warren) would come to all of these events that were "purchased through his fund raising". He clarified that Tommy and Warren also have other commitments and so some of these events would just be him. I guess some people who paid to have a Monte concert were dissapointed, assuming incorrectly that others would play with Monte. To me it was pretty obvious in his explanation of this package deal that they were getting Monte, and if the others could join in and the group was willing to pay the expenses...flights etc. then the others would come. I guess Monte was not sure how fandom was accepting this. (I did not know any of these concerns, prior to him mentioning it...but I supported Monte in that he clarified it very well in his written notes on the site.) Sometimes "one can't win for losing". But it seems this group had an amazing time.

In light of Q3's essay this morning, I think this is on topic. It sheds light on an angle, to the Gaga/Amazon thing, that I had never thought of before. Basically, the other distributors for her album are pissed! And Interscope is likely to have a whole bunch of physical albums being returned to them! How Lady Gaga’s 99-cent ‘Born This Way’ Sale Hurt Interscope, Distributors For the cost of $3.3 million-that is, $8.40 wholesale minus 99 cents retail times 443,000 scans during the two-day sale-Amazon put itself on the map as a digital music merchant, in a way that the same amount of money spent on traditional advertising could never have bought. But whether the sale helps Interscope remains to be seen. First, Interscope and Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD) shipped 2.1 million album units before street date. If they knew in advance of Amazon’s sale, you can bet they would’ve cut back on the initial CD allotment. As is, Interscope has an inventory liability, with some merchants saying they need to return product. And if some of that talk comes from a few retail accounts being miffed over the Amazon deal, some is also due to simple math. The CD album sold 449,000 units of the 2.1 million shipped, for a 21.4 percent sell-through. Second-week sales are at 174,000 units (136,000 CDs), or 27.8 percent sell-through. Can anyone explain to me why Adam gets such negative responses from the LBGT and straight community while Elton John, Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Lynch and Ricky Martin seem to be embraced by many and most peeps?

Can anyone explain to me why Adam gets such negative responses from the LBGT and straight community while Elton John, Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Lynch and Ricky Martin seem to be embraced by many and most peeps? Because, 1) with the exception of Jane, they built their fanbase and image as straight before they came out. And in Jane's case, much easier acceptance for a lesbian than a gay man. 2) Adam is sexual and they are not. Of course, Ricky is too but refer back to underlined part of #1. As far as Adam's acceptance, "it's getting better." I choose to foucs on the positive comments he gets now. The talent and charisma can not be denied.
