The bigger question for me is why did Alisan feel the need to tweet it out? It was a question on her tumblr and I am pretty sure that not many people read it. Many more (including Adam) follow her on twitter. Unnecessary. Alisan was obviously seekng attention to her tumblr and knew this was a way to get fans (Adam's) attention. I don't follow Alisan on Twitter anymore but peeps are tweeting that she deleted it? It's unfortunate that she tweeted that.

Uhhh, works for an on-line entertainment site and also now a radio station. But even if he did nothing, so what? My daughter recently had to make the decision of whether to continue a long term relationship, with the love of her life, or move to be closer to him. She would have had to quit her job anyway, if she continued the relationship, due to a business conflict of interest between them. So, the job change was kind of an easy decision for her. But, still, the move..... In moving, she had to start all over. For 4 months she had no job, yet no one thought anything of it because she had savings. In resolving the terms of a long term relationship, there is always someone who has to make more of a sacrifice, whether it be moving away from family and friends, or getting a new job. In this case, it was Sauli who had to make the sacrifice. I admire him for it! It's not easy, because 30 years ago, I had to do the same thing, for my now hubby and I don't regert it for a second.

The comment made to Allisan is all kinds of oogy. Mind boggling. The sentence that struck me, tho', was, "What do we do when we see our friends getting used?"
This is an example of a trend I see with some fans. They seem to be operating under the impression that they are FRIENDS of Adam's. Real life friends. As in we know each other, hang out together, share our thoughts, dreams, hopes, and fears, have lunch together, go to the clubs together, hold each other's hands when we are sick or hurting, reminisce about our past together, check up on one another, ask for and give advice to one another...... The significant factor being EACH OTHER. As in two-way. As in reciprocal. As in Adam knows THEM, their face, their name, their birthday, their phone number, their family and friends, their favorite drink or dessert, their pets, their children, their partners.
Somehow, some of Adam's fans seem to believe this. It gives me a creepy feeling that these fans have crossed the line from following an artist they enjoy and respect, and have become convinced an actual, real life friendship exists between themselves and Adam, and between themselves and Adam's RL friends and family. STRANGE.

In light of Q3's essay this morning, I think this is on topic. It sheds light on an angle, to the Gaga/Amazon thing, that I had never thought of before. Basically, the other distributors for her album are pissed! And Interscope is likely to have a whole bunch of physical albums being returned to them! How Lady Gaga’s 99-cent ‘Born This Way’ Sale Hurt Interscope, Distributors For the cost of $3.3 million-that is, $8.40 wholesale minus 99 cents retail times 443,000 scans during the two-day sale-Amazon put itself on the map as a digital music merchant, in a way that the same amount of money spent on traditional advertising could never have bought. But whether the sale helps Interscope remains to be seen. First, Interscope and Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD) shipped 2.1 million album units before street date. If they knew in advance of Amazon’s sale, you can bet they would’ve cut back on the initial CD allotment. As is, Interscope has an inventory liability, with some merchants saying they need to return product. And if some of that talk comes from a few retail accounts being miffed over the Amazon deal, some is also due to simple math. The CD album sold 449,000 units of the 2.1 million shipped, for a 21.4 percent sell-through. Second-week sales are at 174,000 units (136,000 CDs), or 27.8 percent sell-through. Read more at the Hollywood Reporter www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/how-lady-gagas-99-cent-197013This is part of the why I ranted about this "sale" last week. But it took me until this week to realize that it proved that everything had changed. You have an event album -- many retailers were told it was THE album of the year -- but consumers bought it online rather than on CD because it was only $0.99. So the retailers paid to stock the CDs, they will have to pay to pull the CDs, and in the end the landfills will get much bigger. But when Soundscan counted these as retail sales, that was then total end. The organization the industry uses to count sales save a digital album sold for $0.99 is a retail sale -- that means that albums essentially are just content for subscription services.

She certainly doesn't need a way to get Adam's attention. Pretty sure he's on her speed dial! I have no problem about her tweeting it or answering it because I would guess there are 1,000 more crazy fans out there thinking the same thing as polishedwood and Alisan's answer was perfect and beautiful, IMO!

Have any idea who this crazy person is complaining about? 100 bonus points to Alisan for replying in a mature and kind manner. The answer was good EXCEPT for the last phrase...as it has nothing to do with the matters of the heart IMO... .. .in reality - what DOES he do? - which also has nothing to do with the matters of the heart..... but overall - what a stupid question to ask of a friend.... We can ask the people in Finland to verify this, but to my knowledge, Sauli was doing just fine there before he met Adam. He and Katri have been doing the Tutka videos for awhile now, and they had nothing to do with Adam. Now Sauli has been hired by a Finnish radio station to be their Hollywood correspondent. His career is just as valid as anyone else's. I think Alisan's point was that Adam would not be with someone he doesn't respect as well as love.

And I disagree, it's a great answer and I'm glad she didn't take the easy way out in ignoring it. I doubt this increases the attention to her in the long run.

Respectfully, it never occurred to me that this was attention seeking behavior. If I concluded anything, it was a subtext of "WTF? Who are you to make such statements to me, who you don't know, about other people you don't know?" And, my conclusion could just be my projection.

Such a weird conundrum (is that the right word?) On the one hand, I feel like the sales shouldn't count. But, on the other hand, Gaga and Interscope had nothing to do with it. So, why punish them because of Amazon's "game." I do know that I am one person who would not have bought it, if it were not for that $.99 deal. I'm sure there are many like me. But, bottom line, I did buy it!

You make such good points on the give and take of relationships. I would also like to add, that Sauli was on two Finnish reality shows, and was the winner of' Big Brother'. He is a celebrity in Finland.Known for his good looks, talent ,charisma and most of all for his good character.
