OT, but for those that loved Kelly Clarkson's reworked piano ballad of 'Piece By Piece' that she performed on Idol....... she has recorded that version and released in on iTunes.
Just search for ~ 'Piece By Piece (Idol Version)'

I can't help thinking that most 23 year olds "ain't quite cooked yet" as we say in the South. Neuroscientists say that the brain is not completely developed until at least age 25. In my experience, guys' brains mature even later than gals'. I am not gonna regale you with some of the stupid things I did before the age of 25. I bet y'all would turn red recalling your own faux pas.
At that age, we thought we were the most innovative, enlightened, forward thinking, actualized generation since forever. We hippies were rather pompous about it. We were pretty sucky when it came to knowing history. We were writing history ourselves with completely new and brilliant ideas.
I also get the impression (and I could be 100% wrong) that SS does not have a highly developed social intelligence. Put these things together with Sam's skyrocketing to fame and being showered with accolades, and I think his words and demeanor are understandable. Excusable? Meh. Maybe. Maybe not. But, even tho' I don't care for his music, his voice or his performances, I think I'll give him a pass on this one.
ETA: How is this related to Adam? I am so glad he didn't achieve stardom at that age. I think his struggles and experiences in his 20's were important in refining his personality and humility. I also think Adam is at the genius level on any social intelligence scale. So glad I stan such a man.

Yeah, I have a few under 25 males in my house, so he gets a pass on not knowing the out gay oscar winners, but not knowing who Tom Yorke or Radiohead are........ blasphemy!!!! I can't imagine any British musician not being aware of them......... he truly seems to be in his own little bubble.

I think at least some of the Twitter shade being thrown at Sam Smith comes from people upset that he won the Oscar with a mediocre song and equally mediocre performance, especially after Lady Gaga's powerful and heartfelt performance of a better song, "Till It Happens to You." I feel that way, but I'm not hating on him because he mistakenly assumed he was the first openly gay Oscar winner. He's just being one of those Millenials who thinks they're "special snowflakes" and therefore their achievements come first ahead of other people's.
Posters here have discussed the different levels Adam and Sam are on in terms of talent, professionalism, maturity, and emotional intelligence. All true. And despite his many vocal, physical, and other gifts, Adam has never displayed any evidence that he has Special Snowflake syndrome. Instead of entitledness, he displays humility and gratitude for the good things that come his way. (To paraphrase Dr. Bri, "Roger and I wouldn't work with him if he was a shit!") Sam is still growing up; Adam's a grown-ass man. I hope as he matures, Sam can learn a few things from our Adam.

I thought the Moser review was fine. Didn't notice the age blunder, but that's not a big deal to me. I bet we can find reviews that say he's 33 still. Whatever. Anyhow, It's a review that certainly wouldn't stop people from wanting to see the show, and might even encourage some who wouldn't otherwise go. And we know that Moser was AT the show! That review in Billboard, glowing as it was, could have been written by someone who just saw videos. A "tapered white suit"? But I'm not complaining. A good review is a good review! As far as I can determine, the Billboard reviewer was not at the AC show. She was def not at the Pittsburgh Springsteen concert she reported on. She was tweeting like she was there.. there are more tweets of the concert with photos.
