Adam's total views over the last years: Total 299,530,0002016 16,405,000 2015 102,862,000 2014 22,998,000 2013 28,148,000 2012 53,709,000 2011 32,468,000 2010 36,989,000 Earlier 121,000 2015 was a great year! He's #354 on the list of artists (http://kworb.net/youtube/). GT is #536 in 2015 in most viewed video's: Adam Lambert - "Ghost Town" [Official Music Video] 51,849,813 kworb.net/youtube/topvideos2015.htmlidk people...these numbers get me depressed given his talent... speaks volumes for the general public taste... his best so far is #536...wow... ya...i know there are thousands upon thousands of artists who would die for that placement, so no need to point that out again... what is there to do? he seems to be doing everything possible - mellowed down his image, worked with the biggest bubble gum producing honchos in the world, kisses the collective radio asses tirelessly and continuously, works like crazy.... oh well...its my concert day! Very excited! hope to see plenty of young faces at Terminal5NYC! |

These streams are only for his official video's from his own channel and his VEVO channel. So that's 65 video's including the teasers, track commentary's and behind the scenes video's. Fan video's or video's of him performing somewhere else that get posted by other users aren't included in this. We know from the Artist Insight page that the video's who are linked to Adam had a total of 357,549,035 views since September 2014. That's way more than his own video's. See: Artist Insights link. Kelly Rowland is just above Adam in the YT stats from kworb but only had 106 million views since September 2014. Adam doesn't have a lot of video's who are very known and have a stable viewcount. As you can see on his page WWFM has a pretty stable view count of 23-24k views per day, but that's his biggest hit before GT. GT had just over 140k / day last month. Stat's page for GT shows October 2015 being his best month: kworb.net/youtube/video/Ix8ocFEMa1o.html. Also in the artist ranking a lot of settled stars / groups have very high average view counts because they have a lot of video's. Queen for instance is on #107, but also has 593 video's counting for that. 24 of those are with Adam by the way. Somebody to Love on X-factor is the highest of those on #53 on the Queen list. That video has 3.3k views / day and is going to pass the video from Queen + George Michael on the Freddie tribute concert someday soon. Thank you, skaschep. I hear you. The thing is the charts rate everyone on the same basis, so "official counts" for everyone - including young artists...
and as you said: "Adam doesn't have a lot of video's who are very known and have a stable viewcount." - which is the point... He's consistently produced excellent videos!
#1 is the YouTube gift to the world that is JB, with almost 10 Billion official, and 5B cumulative over the reporting period, i.e. the same period Adam has 360M - which is VERY NICE too of course.... SS - 1.7B cumulative...
May be if I could ever understand the attraction of these artists I could feel better, but as it stands -it is all a mystery to me...I do understand that being 34 is a bit late for mega popularity among teens and early twenties peeps...

I hear you as wel nica. The video's are great, but it's only 2-3 / album over a period of 6 years. He really needs to speed up the release of songs I think. The time between ALN and the next single is way to long for people to get to know him. For the Netherlands ALN was hardly present and GT dropped out of the charts in November. That's 4 months now. 4 months in which GT is still being played now and then and also WWFM, but he really needs to release the next one to keep people's attention.
I know his songs are slow burners mostly and GT peaked in September / October while it was released in April, but still. It's taking them too long now.
I personally have a feeling that they are planning some alternate mix for the next single or something. Maybe they need some new Adam vocals and those can't be recorded because he's not feeling 100% or maybe Adam is being the perfectionist and not satisfied yet with the result at the moment. I don't know. That's just speculation, but I really hope that what they are planning will smash!
ETA: To keep the comparison with SS. SS had 6 singles in 2014 and 4 in 2015 in the Netherlands. Adam's total is 6 here including Lay Me Down since 2010. No wonder he has more views.

So what is going on with the next single??? Really no reason to wait. I am also wondering if they are working on something new---maybe remixing a new version of TOH or something completely different? If TOH has not been successful in the countries where it was released, might they be looking in a different direction?

The final numbers for the show that I attended: 02-28-16 Sands Bethlehem Event Center/ Bethlehem, PA, tickets sold 2,700, tickets available 2,700, Average ticket price $130, gross ticket sales $351,000, Sold Out The initial amount of tickets offered was 2,250 but, since all of the seats were folding chairs, and, all 2,250 tickets had been sold, they added some more seats to various locations. The 3 seats that I bought were some of the added seats and they were in a great location. Also, there were long lines of fans buying merchandise even after the show ended so I assume that Adam did pretty well financially from the show.  WOW!! I've been looking for Event sales and haven't had any luck! Where did you find that? |

Well whatever they do with the next single they really have to consider The Light. It's getting crazy streams again in Spotify. 7 day average is around IIHY numbers again and in today's update it's his 4th song again after GT, ALN and WWFM.
All of his big songs averages are going up some again by the way in Spotify. The tour news cycles and the concerts itself are finally starting to boost streams it seems. This will be visible in next Sunday's update I bet!
